Aw, poor Ruth, such a shame that in these days of social media and things being on the internet for ever that it is getting harder and harder to be a revisionist .
I think in the next few weeks we are going to see a lot of bleating comments along the lines of “oh I didn’t say that/ I didn’t mean that/ I was lied to/ it is taken out of context.” , especially from people like Ruth who have done very nicely indeed out of their career building support for Mermaids and Stonewall - is it £300+ a day plus expenses that peers get these days, I think it might have just gone up.
What I would like to read and hear are some heartfelt apologies to the confused and anxious children whose lives have been blighted by non evidence based support for their mutilation and sterilisation ,I think personal apologies for the hounding and vilification of people who tried to tell the truth are also needed.
I would also like to see a proper examination of the role of people like Ruth in attempting to destroy womens safety, wellbeing, privacy and language in their desperate attempts to force unnecessary social change through blatant lies, half truths and the manipulation of vulnerable people.
