No. You're not going to get to rewrite history.

In a way, in the refusal to accept the responsibility for their own actions and judgments, these "we were just following the clinicians/best practice/the experts" claims are a form of the Nuremberg defence.

Amazing to see those who created a situation where gender critical women were called far right and Nazis, using a 'we were just following orders' type defence.

I had a little search back to some of those threads at the height of no debate in 2018 and it's amazing to see how far we've come since then..

maltravers · 13/04/2024 14:49

the “golden era” of this cult is over (I hope!). Heads are going to roll and they’re trying to ensure it’s not theirs…

The good thing is that Whittle, Hunt and all are not arguing with Cass' conclusions.

No reasonably rational person could argue with it.

Winterborne74 · 13/04/2024 14:55

I can’t see how Stonewall can survive in its current form. It won’t be long before it receives absolutely no public money at all. Does it get many private donations? The WEI and Diversity Champions grifts must be coming to an end.

I'm curious as to where that heads and whether Stonewall has breeched charity law in terms of it's liabilities along the way.

It would be interesting to see the result, if some schools and other organisations thought, "Hang on a minute, what's this rubbish we've been given? It's all wrong and possibly in breach of the law!" and sued for refunds.

Blistering thread from Dennis Kavanagh

This is so incredibly powerful.
Absolutely righteous rage.
Thank you for posting.

Absolutely righteous rage.

Cold fury is a sight to behold, especially in one so eloquent and succinct.

Some organisations he described as anti-trans had undue influence on government and officials, he said. “Since 2010 I’ve not been included in one conversation with government, none of us have. But these other people are sitting round the table and enjoying their power. I think aspects of the Cass report were heavily influenced by the fear of these people and pressure from them.”

I know I shouldn't be, but I am actually shocked at the DARVO here

No to a golden bridge. Never forget or forgive this:

fovas.wordpress.com/response-to-stonewall-2/

We must have a public inquiry and these people must be compelled to appear and explain themselves.

💯

The same schools that also have their own liability and should be checking any material that they use (I remember when Asda were caught out for no checking stuff aimed at children)....

I am actually still sitting here like this->Shock

There's economical with the truth.

Then there's Ruth.

KohlaParasaurus · 13/04/2024 15:31

I'd like to see heads rotting on spikes for the atrocious lies and the betrayal of our children that we've been forced to endure over the past decade. But the quicker these people are to turn around and say, "Genderism, I never knew you," to the pernicious ideology they worshipped, the sooner it will fizzle out. Don't interrupt the ferrets while they're in full reverse.

The internet never forgets, though. It's harder than it's ever been to rewrite history.

Shaken up bags of wasps look at them pityingly and do twirly fingers at the temple...

Look how the blame game's going to go, they're lining up Polly Carmichael to be the fall-guy (which would be well-deserved):

Hunt said her only regret was trusting the “experts”, such as Dr Polly Carmichael, the former director of the Gender Identity Development Service (Gids). “I think there was a responsibility on the NHS, schools and social services. So it wasn’t in my gift to either make this better or worse,” Hunt said.

Hunt is way worse than Carmichael, IMO. From Hannah Barnes' book, it's clear that Carmichael & co did start from a place of wanting to help children - though the way they went about it was hideously misguided. And, as they worked for the NHS, they were not driven by personal financial gain. (Though none of that is to defend them - just making the comparison with Hunt).

Hunt cynically threw lesbians, women generally, and gender-confused children under the bus, in the pursuit of money and influence, for herself and for Stonewall.

It's absolutely bare faced isn't it? Still, I suppose if you can say TWAW you get plenty of practice in ridiculous lies.

Still, I suppose if you can say TWAW you get plenty of practice in ridiculous lies.

That goes right to the heart of it, doesn’t it.

All of those associated with promoting this harmful ideology have shown themselves to be: either

  • comfortable with repeatedly and consistently telling lies; or
  • so gullible, intellectually lazy and cowardly that they shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the public service or positions of authority.

Or (sadly) both of those.

HermioneWeasley · 13/04/2024 15:48

Whittle has been on Twitter sharing some seriously unhinged stuff about Cass. He’s trying to sound more moderate/reasonable in the guardian but it’s clear he hates it and is seething.

PronounssheRa · 13/04/2024 15:48

Hunt is absolutely shameless isn't she

Joanna cherry has said she expects a statement or urgent question in parliament next week and she is going to ask about an inquiry into stonewall etc

ArabellaScott · 13/04/2024 15:37

There is a petition to take away Hunt's peerage:

'Strip Ruth Hunt of her peerage for her role in the gender medical scandal'

https://www.change.org/p/strip-ruth-hunt-of-her-peerage-for-her-role-in-the-gender-medical-scandal

Signed and shared, thanks for posting this.

MountCaramel · 13/04/2024 15:50

Do you remember when Mermaids complained to the Charity commission & tried to have the LGB Alliance charity registration stripped? Well now I think it's the turn of Stonewall, complaints can be made below and there's plenty of evidence about.

https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-charity

Complain about a charity

How to take a complaint about a charity further, including what you can complain about and reporting serious incidents to the Charity Commission, Fundraising Standards Board and Advertising Standards Authority

Whittle has been losing the plot for a while now. "They" can clearly see the house of cards is coming down around them.
