As a mother of teens I personally think a curious approach is always going to be more effective than an authoritarian approach. Teenagers are contrary fuckers and find it hard to back down. So I agree with her on that.

I came here especially for the reverse ferret GIFs, and wasn't disappointed.

Said reverse ferreting is what women on these boards have been saying would happen since - and probably long before - I first stumbled onto FWR in about 2015. And after that, it will be selective memory loss; the convenient 'forgetting' of the dangerous ideology people like Hunt have championed.

Unfortunately for these people, once it's out there on the internet, it's there forever. Women are not going to forget who threw their rights and those of their children under the bus.

It would be a delicious moment, were it not for a sober reflection on the likely numbers of children harmed by this hideous medical experimentation. IMO, those who are culpable should be facing human rights charges.

They all are, those who crowed about being on the “right side of history”.

They disgust me, and I truly hope, now that the truth is publicly highlighting their involvement and culpability, they each have a moment of enlightenment that destroys their souls and fills every last minute of the rest of their lives with utter, profound horror and regret.

They destroyed bodies, minds, and lives.
They championed this false narrative, they fronted the attack on those desperately seeking to safeguard and save innocent children, and they celebrated the mutilation of bodies, spirits and truth.
They deserve condemnation and then to live with the real truth of what they have done - not their saviour complex version of reality.

Agree. And it should be in our national and international media now. I don’t think many people realise what “being kind” has meant for some young easily influenced people.

I think she's right though, the problem is most sensible people who were "be kind" assumed that there were sensible grown ups in charge at GIDS who knew the difference between a "trans child" and a young lesbian who wanted to wear a suit and would kindly tell them they weren't trans.

But there was huge cultural pressure to affirm only. It's clear from "Time to Think" that we were despite the whistle blowers heading towards the American model where by: the endocrinologists and surgeons believe the psychiatrists/psychologists who believe the self diagnosis of the child and/or parent who believes the tiktok/Reddit/Facebook posts that tell them that if they think they might be trans then they are trans.

I'm quite enjoying all these chickens ( or should it be capons?) coming home to roost.
Every single person of influence who cheer leadered children being mutilated and sterilised needs to be held to public account.
