There was a thread a couple of weeks about this case that got deleted. Obviously it's an ongoing trial but it's as we suspected with the defendent.

Murder-accused tells court parents did not accept her as transgender

Scarlet Blake, is on trial at Oxford Crown Court charged with the murder of Jorge Carreno who was found in Parsons Pleasure.

What a surprise…🙄

Rightsraptor · 19/02/2024 16:20

'Scarlet' seems to be labouring under the misconception that humans can turn from male to female.

What a huge mess.

Fenlandia · 19/02/2024 16:21

Thanks OP for the new thread. I wondered where the last one had gone. Many of us suspected the defendant was transgender.

NotTerfNorCis · 19/02/2024 16:26

Oh!! At the time I was looking at the pics and thought it was a woman! Says a lot that so many other people suspected the truth.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/02/2024 16:37

Well, they kept that quiet. Wonder why?

CousinGreg55 · 19/02/2024 16:37

All the reports so far have been saying SB is a women, no mention of being trans. I wonder what prison they are in.

She said she was equivalent in strength to an 'unfit female'

I'm an unfit female and I'd struggle to strangle a 30 year old man. Unless of course in topsy-turvy world the 30 year old man was a woman.

How many women (vs men) murder using strangulation?

PickAChew · 19/02/2024 16:42

This unfit female would not be able to strangle a man and chuck him in a swimming pool.

Me neither

User19798 · 19/02/2024 16:56

Another one. I actually thought maybe this was a very dangerous woman when I first read it

CousinGreg55 · 19/02/2024 16:57

Me neither. (It was into the river not a swimming pool)
I wonder if this is the first time that the jury have heard that this is a transwoman.

I am glad they have posted photos. No doubt in my mind.

The smirk is chilling.

ArabellaScott · 19/02/2024 17:00

The evidence referencing sperm on clothing items earlier today probably gave it away tbh.

Cailleach1 · 19/02/2024 17:02

I started the thread which was deleted. Possible truth not being in the spirit. There were only one or two very blurry photos in most reports, all above the hip. There was another (in one newspaper) from the side which showed more; a rather male brow, musculature and narrow hips. Male silhouette. Even with hair left uncut.

It is just misinformation that the alleged perpetrator is being misrepresented as female. Even the activities raised in court (and agreed by all parties) being attributed to a woman.

I’m a fit female, and I’d have no chance. It’s infuriating that this bullshit stands.

RebelliousCow · 19/02/2024 17:16

The sex was always fairly obvious, even from just one or two photos;and when you looked at the film clips of the walk through Oxford at night. Plus, the nature of the crime itself: hunting down a strange man in the dark streets.

Trust your instincts.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/02/2024 17:20

It's in his interest to play down his strength. He might even be telling the truth, as he believes it. The victim may have had another encounter with a different violent person after leaving the company of the fragrant Scarlet.

It's just not nice to point out that violent, sadistic, sexually motivated crimes are almost always carried out by males.

Presumably this thread will allowed to stay. I have (some time ago) reported a thread discussing a murder trial and MNHQ were very clear that discussion of live trials was allowed as long as posters were careful with comments (forget the specific phrase they used)

I'm genuinely puzzled as to why they keep doing this. There's a perfectly good, non-transphobic, Stonewall-approved way to refer to the defendant - as a transgender woman.

It undermines the narrative.

JellySaurus · 19/02/2024 17:32

Interesting that Scarlet outs <pronoun>self, whereas the newspaper determinedly presents <pronoun> as an actual woman. So much so, that until you get to the part where Scarlet outs <pronoun>self, the reader could be forgiven for thinking that Scarlet was a TM.
