To be clear, those very few people with true gender dysphoria do not believe they are actually the opposite sex and never can be - and in fact, it was originally a condition of transition and getting a GRC that they prove they understood this. They are just extremely unhappy about the sex they are and want to change their appearance/pronouns etc to feel better.

The majority of current transwomen are fetish driven. We KNOW this because of their own words and actions. It's not a MH issue - they are right when they say this. It's a totally different thing to dysphoria. They are cross dressers, transvestites, AGPs. Not transsexuals and definitely NOT women.

Sadly the tweets are already out and shared to prove what Misty says above: yet again in this particular case, the evidence is freely available. This is not an innocent action.

The problem with the 'Anne in girls' changing rooms' thing is that Anne might well be lovely, no threat, etc, and doubtless it would've been fine if she didn't perv or flaunt her differences, but you can't let Anne in and then bar all the other 'Annes' - you'd have to let any possibly dodgy Annes in too. It's like me saying that I can take my pooch into the playground in the park because she won't poop there and will just sit quietly. The rules have to apply to all. ( I don't mean to be disrespectful - it's just the only example I could think of that's not human-related.) So I do feel for the Annes. But they have to use the unisex changing rooms.

It does not matter how lovely or safe a male person is: some women cannot use mixed sex spaces. They can't. A male walks in to live his best life and have his most comfortable choice from all the facilities and by doing so some women lose access to any facilities at all .

Disabled women, many Autistic MNetters have talked eloquently about this. Women who have experienced CSA/DV/DA and cannot be in an enclosed space with an unfamiliar man, never mind undress; women of orthodox faiths and religions, many other women too.

Even if we could perform a Vulcan mind meld on every male entering the space and know this is an absolute sweetheart of a male, of which on the planet there are many, those women still could not use the space. And if he's a lovely safe male he would understand that and not wish to exclude them. Or expect them and their lives to revolve around what he expresses to them is currently going on in his head.

Well as a man, I sure would like to use the much cleaner and more naice female toilets. I promise to sit down for a wee, and leave the place spotless, and I'm definitely not a wrongun. HOWEVER I won't do this, because there is a rule that applies to all men, based on protecting dignity and privacy of women. I respect that rule (because not a wrongun), and accept that the pongy state of men toilets is not a problem for women to solve.

I don’t know, I wonder if it’s time we moved past the idea of the hypothetical lovely harmless transwoman in women’s changing rooms and moved straight on to stating the obvious: lack of respect for women’s boundaries is the single most dangerous quality a man can possess.

I think it’s a simple message and a straightforward one to communicate. And it’s a very important message for young women to hear, which has broad applicability beyond the trans debate.
