So if highlighting the major safeguarding fail that is Jeffery Marsh is transphobic, what does that say about the attitude of the trans lobby to child safeguarding?

For those not familiar with the work of Jeffery (some schools have issued safety warnings about him), he has made countless videos, explicitly aimed at children (he opens with things like “hello children”) encouraging them to go ‘no contact’ with their parents and even set up a Patreon so children could subscribe (after outcry he has now made it 18+, I don’t know how he enforces that) and talk to him ‘more privately’ and ‘say things that you can’t say in open comments’ (his words explaining his Patreon).

He is a walking talking red flag in glittery eyeshadow and all this lady did was highlight the videos he has made aimed at children and explained the issues with that. For that the trans activists are actively threatening the safety of her children. They emailed her with details of their school route and her daughters.

I really hope the police actually deal with this but their reported first reaction was to tell her to take down the videos (of the man trying to groom children online) which doesn’t inspire much confidence.

What has been rather clear to see though is that the ‘so tolerant’ and ‘so wonderfully loving’ mask has broken.

This must be horrific for her to deal with. Threats to her children and damage to her car, just reminding her that they know where she lives and can access her girls.

It should go without saying that threats against Marsh are also unacceptable.

But sharing this to demonstrate the inevitable (and absurd) suggestion that anyone raising concerns about anything to do with safeguarding are 'far right'.

This is sickening. I really thought the tide has started to turn, but now we will have women - once again - too afraid to speak out for fear of their safety.

If I was any one of the ‘influencers’ who were supportive of having gender prioritised above sex, I would be very worried these days. One wrong word, one sign that they don’t follow the script and they would be very scared.

There is a difference between just withdrawing support to issuing threats.

If we give Marsh the benefit of the doubt, and assume the intended target of their “hey kids” videos are young people aged 18+ (although they only changed their Patreon settings to 18+ after being called out by Shumirun) … even then, there are still red flags everywhere.

No counsellor would encourage vulnerable young people to go “no contact” with their parents just for struggling to accept their trans identity. If Marsh was genuine, he would be trying to get people to find a way to reconcile with their families, not cut themselves off. Why encourage them to diminish their support network? Also, no counsellor would say “I’m your family now”. There’s just no way.

I feel terrible for Shumirun - the threats she has suffered amount to terrorism in my book. She has told the police, so I hope the perpetrators are brought to justice.
