Meet the new progressiveism. A muslim woman being hounded and bullied for criticising a white man.

This is disgusting. I hope she and her family are going to be ok.

I didnt say it was deserved, just pointing out the issues with the internet and having a following, especially a monetised one.

Nah. Loads of people have a following. And they monitise it if they're popular enough.

It's got fuck all do with that. It's because she's a woman exposing the creepy and conditioning behaviour of an adult male.

But more than that. She has now exposed the behaviour of all those people, including people on this thread, who either cant see anything wrong with it, or far more likely in my opinion, know exactly what's wrong with it, but want it to continue.

do you see anything wrong with it Seasonofthewitch83?

BorgQueen · 13/03/2023 13:45

I do so wish she hadn’t done the video of her so upset, it would have been much better for her to come out fighting and tell them to go fuck themselves because she wasn’t going to shut up.
They’ll see her as ‘weak’ now and it will only make them double down in the same way they did with Caroline F. They are bullies and that’s their M O.
I’m not saying she shouldn’t be upset or fearful btw.

Seasonofthewitch83 · 13/03/2023 13:48

beastlyslumber · 13/03/2023 13:41

But it's not "issues with having a following." The issue is that she said something a man didn't want said, and she and her family have been viciously attacked for it.

She is allowed to have a social media following, to be famous, to have fans etc. She's allowed to give her thoughts and commentary on others. Or do you think women should just shut up in case men don't like what we say? Maybe not go after dark in case men don't like that either?

What you're doing is the very definition of victim blaming. Your denial of that is either down to stupidity or attempts at gaslighting.

Either way, I'm offended by the 'witch' in your name. Clearly you're more on the side of the witchhunters.

Oh no, is this one of those 'We are the witches who cannot be burned' things?'

I think some of their videos are fine tbh. Talking about why sex isnt all its cracked up to be is a good lesson. I don't think there are children seeking out JM material to listen about sex. They can do that for free on Twitter and watch Stephen Bear being rimmed. I think there are worse things on the internet, and its quite a leap to say he encourages children to go no contact with their parents (because only social services can enable that?). From what I can see, that material is aimed at adults, not children.

But that is just my opinion, and according to the above posts, I am allowed it without fear of repercussions.

This is absolutely the wrong thing to be telling teenagers! You tell them that if sex is painful or uncomfortable they should stop. In fact, that's what you should say to literally anyone!

Wasn't the discussion around how he found sex with his partner difficult on his Patreon?

TheBiologyStupid · 13/03/2023 13:57

In fact, I actually think it should be considered transphobic to not criticise this behaviour. Surely viewing this kind of creepy, grooming like behaviour as somehow part of being trans is the transphobic position. Criticising the dodgy behaviour is not transphobic in the least.

Absolutely this!

Yes. That should be the case. And to seek therapeutic help to overcome trauma If trauma is the issue.

It shouldn’t be left, as it was on the Patreon video, that learning to relax and overcome the discomfort and pain was the solution to a ‘happy relationship’ that Marsh has with Marsh’s husband.

DarkDayforMN · 13/03/2023 14:02

marsh literally starts off those videos with “hello children.” (The creepiness of his facial expressions when he says this is off the scale btw. It’s sometimes hard to believe he’s a real person.)

But that is just my opinion, and according to the above posts, I am allowed it without fear of repercussions

yes. You’re allowed to have an opinion without anyone vandalising your car or threatening your children. But it’s not like that was ever going to happen to you anyway - unlike the woman who was victimised, it’s not vicious predatory men that you’re disagreeing with here. No courage is required of you in terms of “repercussions.” You will, of course, have to deal with being thought of, and called, someone who enables and excuses predatory behaviour, someone who joins in witch-hunting mobs to further bully their victim, someone who engages in whataboutery when violent men threaten children… because that is what you are.

'being the internet mom'

'if you've been rejected by everybody you can be in my family. I want you over here'

God this guy makes me feel unclean just watching him.

He sets off every single alarm going!!!

How can some people not see this for what it is?

Repercussions?

Are you trying to draw a comparison to Shumirun’s situation to some random posting on a forum and having their posts discussed and scrutinised?

Are you really trying to draw that comparison?

Nope?

Helleofabore · 13/03/2023 14:08

”From what I can see, that material is aimed at adults, not children.”

Crikey! The videos are mixed in together. There was no age filtering until Shumirun’s video and there has been some kind of attempt since it seems.

Or did you miss the ‘hi kids’, Ngo children’ and in the sex one on tik tok ‘hi love’? Or maybe you think ‘hi love’ signals “this is for adults “… because considering the use of “love”, a common term of endearment used for children, I think you are going to be very hard pushed to convince anyone they were aimed at adults.

What repercussions do you believe you will encounter here?

Looks to me that when they make videos aimed at children, it's stated at the start of the video that its specifically for them.

ArabellaScott · 13/03/2023 14:12

its quite a leap to say he encourages children to go no contact with their parents

That's where Shamirum's edited video might have been useful, had she not been compelled to delete it because of someone stalking and threatening her kids.

Marsh has made several videos where he encourages children to go 'no contact' with their parents. He focuses on this really quite uncommon and extreme course of action enthusiastically. I take your point he could be addressing adult children with these videos, but equally he frequently starts his videos wth 'hi kids' and 'hey kids' etc. He is not making any legal or ethical boundaries clear, as anyone who is working as a therapist or counsellor ought to.

I've no idea what his overall intent is, but he is positioning himself as some kind of guru based on no discernible qualifications or relevant experience. He is encouraging potentially risky or harmful behaviour, either out of ignorance or for a different reason.

And they are all available on tiktok no?

So, him just not saying ‘hi kids’ and changing it to ‘hi love’ a term of endearment a parent might use for a child and this is an adult encouraging children to join their ‘glitter family’, is the special signal it is not for children?

Can you please link me to a video of theirs where this is stated? I have only seen videos from their adult focused Patreon that encourages that.

Children are unable to go NC with their parents, not sure exactly how that would work without social service involvement to facilitate.

You make a claim: "its quite a leap to say he encourages children to go no contact with their parents" based on not even seeing the relevant videos?

drwitch · 13/03/2023 14:18

Their motives are almost irrelevant. Their language Inc that of their body is like a primary school teacher. They might be telling 25 year olds to go no contact, but unhappy 15 year olds will think it's for them

They are normalising a practice that is dangerous even if JM means no harm

Don't most of his videos start 'hi kids/I'm talking to the kids/other iterations of kids'?

That you have entered a thread without actually knowing what you are talking about is your own issue I am afraid.

We really don't need to present you with links.

You are defending something you haven't actually seen, and you are very confidently doing so.

I think if you choose to engage with a thread the way you have, the onus is on you to do your own research.

I have found this - but its not aimed at children? Because again...children cannot go NC without SS involvement.

They can certainly exchange messages online, out of sight of their parents however. Unfortunately.
