Meet the new progressiveism. A muslim woman being hounded and bullied for criticising a white man.

This is disgusting. I hope she and her family are going to be ok.

This is the progressivism they support. The other day I saw a black radical feminist absolutely hounded for embracing/reclaiming the term ‘TERF’.

black feminists being attacked for not including white men?

Because again...children cannot go NC without SS involvement

They can certainly exchange messages online, out of sight of their parents however. Unfortunately.

And that sadly is the fact for any young person on the internet. I do not know what the solution is.

Yea, I stand by it. She has 7M people following her. With that comes responsibility. There is a lot of transphobic hatred she has also managed to whip up - her comment section is horrific.

You expect someone with 7m followers to somehow be able to police her followers? How about the people making the comments are held to account instead (by which I don't mean the type of behaviour she has been subjected to).

I would expect someone with 7M followers to be aware that their words have impact.

ArabellaScott · 13/03/2023 14:41

A 16, 17 year old can go 'no contact' with their parents. They are still in many respects counted as a child and most YP of that age are still really in need of guidance and support from their family. But they are legally able to do the 'no contact' thing.

ArabellaScott · 13/03/2023 14:42

So how many followers is the cut off point for raising safeguarding concerns?

At what point does it become the fault of the person with lots of followers to not make people stalk and threaten her?

ArabellaScott · 13/03/2023 14:42

The blame for stalking, threatening and abusing someone lies with the person stalking, threatening and abusing. Not the victim. No matter how many followers they have on social media.

One solution is that if anyone tries to tell children online to stop talking to their parents, people call that person out and tell them to stop it. This is called safeguarding: putting measures in place, by law, by social pressure, to minimise the chance of bad situations occuring.

Not by shrugging your shoulders and saying oh well, bad things happen, bad luck, better next time

sanluca · 13/03/2023 14:47

Bold fail, sorry.

I am just amazed at the victim blaming and disregard for safeguarding demonstrated by season. It smacks of the same argument TRAs use, that men will rape women anyway, so there is no problem with letting men into womens changing rooms

DerekFaker · 13/03/2023 14:48

Boiledbeetle · 13/03/2023 14:02

God this guy makes me feel unclean just watching him.

He sets off every single alarm going!!!

How can some people not see this for what it is?

There is absolutely no sincerity or warmth in those eyes. Have you seen the "You WILL respect us" video? Brrrr

I feel the same way about Dylan Mulvaney, but at least they don't appear to be targeting young people.

I suspect that the change petition to 'ban' her has been removed.

And what exactly do you think she should do. Just shut up?

Nope.

Oh no, is this one of those 'We are the witches who cannot be burned' things?'

What are you even talking about?

This is one of those "stop victim blaming" things.

Also one of those "I'm so sick of men pretending to be women and referring to themselves as witches" things.

I would expect someone with 7M followers to be aware that their words have impact.

Well the same could be said for the JM account couldn't it.

You would think the fact that his account is perceived by so many to amount to grooming would have an impact on his tone and words.

What is he trying to achieve if not to break bonds between parent and child?

DerekFaker · 13/03/2023 14:58

Seasonofthewitch83 · 13/03/2023 14:52

Nope.

What then? What does realising her words have impact entail? What does it even mean?

I think some of their videos are fine tbh. Talking about why sex isnt all its cracked up to be is a good lesson. I don't think there are children seeking out JM material to listen about sex. They can do that for free on Twitter and watch Stephen Bear being rimmed. I think there are worse things on the internet, and its quite a leap to say he encourages children to go no contact with their parents (because only social services can enable that?). From what I can see, that material is aimed at adults, not children.

But that is just my opinion, and according to the above posts, I am allowed it without fear of repercussions.

And there you have it. You are stating that you don't see any problem with it. All the problems. The safeguarding breaches. You're stating that you're fine with those, in spite of them being pointed out to you, quite explicitly.

it's just justifies the need for more and more women to point it out. So that schools do end up writing to their parents, and papers will end up with double spreads publicising it.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/03/2023 15:00

Can you please link me to a video of theirs where this is stated?

You called Marsh "he" earlier. Do better!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/03/2023 15:01

DerekFaker · 13/03/2023 14:58

What then? What does realising her words have impact entail? What does it even mean?

You don't think her choosing to stitch a video that JM made about trans people to accuse him of grooming wouldn't then create a massive pile on that all trans people are sexual predators?

She made the video for clicks and likes. Its now bit her firmly in the backside. I don't think she was really on any kind of crusade to help safeguard children given she herself had a website that encouraged children to send in selfies.

Does she deserve it? No - as above stated several times. She absolutely has a right to voice her opinion without any threats of violence or silencing, especially to her family. But this is the issue when people are allowed to post whatever they want on the internet. Sometimes its not going to go the way they thought. This one didnt.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/03/2023 15:08

Victim blaming nonsense.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/03/2023 15:11

Does this apply to everyone? Is it also justified for trans activists to face "repercussions" if people don't like their videos?

Well exactly.

If Jeffrey Marsh doesn't want to be perceived as a creepy groomer then maybe he should stop acting like a creepy groomer 🤷🏼‍♀️

lifeturnsonadime · 13/03/2023 15:12

So can I get this straight?

You seem to be saying that no one can ever point out predatory behaviour in a trans identifying person because it will make people believe ALL trans people are predatory?

Well talk about creating a sacred caste! If non one can EVEN mention it, then of course predators will take advantage.

And where's your evidence that this is true? Not one person on this thread has posted anything remotely along the lines that all trans people are predators. People don't think that.
