Caba Baba Rave - take your baby to watch nearly naked men in fetish gear

Journalist Dominique Samuels has posted video of one of their events: https://twitter.com/dominiquetaegon/status/1630948003962912768?s=61&t=gd6tu0Iz6JpyKXGLWMLGjg

Which features men gyrating and hanging from the ceiling surrounded by a crowd of clueless women and their babies.

I would say it's NSFW but it's apparently safe for babies so have a watch.

Here's a reddux article:

https://reduxx.info/uk-sold-out-rave-for-babies-featuring-drag-queens-prompts-outrage/

Since the video went viral, the company has taken down its website and Facebook and made their Instagram private. I wonder why? Confused

I've not read this whole thread but I wanted to point out that the bloody BBC has normalised drag with Ru Pauls Drag Race and because of this people are struggling to draw their boundaries properly.
Also re: Poverty chic? I don’t get it 🤷‍♀️ it seems to have been a popular middle class thing for a number of years now!

I think MC poverty chic has it's origins in romanticised themes around 19th and 20th century children's literature. The sort where children of impoverished, but still very clearly MC parents go tramping around their huge, faded in glory but dilapidated house, are half-feral, have loose boundaries and bad behaviour that makes the lives and tasks of the working class staff difficult, but is still somehow tolerated, because they are 'class' and are extremely well spoken and precocious..and thus adorable...think Mary Poppins, Nanny McPhee, Peter Pan, etc. I think it does inform culture.

LumpfishNoodle · 03/03/2023 13:35

I've blurred the child's face, but the original picture is up the thread for any fakery hunters - this child is NOT a baby. The child WILL remember.

ArabellaScott · 03/03/2023 13:42

I think it's Exulansic who called drag artists 'sex clowns'?

These are 'sex clowns'.

Sexuality in an absurdist package.

WimbyAce · 03/03/2023 13:42

I saw this on twitter. Honestly the world gets madder every day, what is wrong with people?!

Helleofabore · 03/03/2023 13:43

Nor was the girl in one of the other pics with a male performer who was copying that performers pose.

Just normal poses for people, ain't it? Nothing sexualised at all!

Clymene · 03/03/2023 13:43

@RethinkingLife - that has got to be one of the most disturbing articles I've ever read.

There is such a clear linkage between the German left, Foucault, PIE and Tatchell.

It's horrifying to know that Daniel Cohn-Bendit is a leading figure in the European Green Party but it also explains that enduring connection between the Green Party and paedophilia.

Yes. What we need is the Equality Act debated in parliament, I'd say.

Please sign if you haven't, and share if you can!

I’m not really a tweeter! They monitor us anyway.

Here’s one of the other venues in Caba Baba Rave’s images, it’s the upstairs room of a pub called The Birds in Leytonstone:

www.thebirds.pub/bookings

This girl behind the person in the ripped body suit and the red thigh boots.

All a bit of fun, isn't it! Nothing at all to see.

That same child is in the video as is another couple of children of a similar age

I think any parent who thinks this is 'suitable entertainment' for their child should go on a list for Social Services to pay a visit! Deplorable and total woke madness. NB Queer is the new by word for paedos welcome IMO.

Righthandcider · 03/03/2023 13:54

Helleofabore · 03/03/2023 13:21

Oh, it was over here too?

We had joeys as I was growing up so I called them all Skippy. The neighbours used to find them alive after the mothers had died and my mum would raise them.

I also had a dinner setting with Skippy on it. I have to say I was a big fan. Couldn't get my child to watch it at all as a kid. 😁

Photos of the joeys, please @Helleofabore!!!!

Righthandcider · 03/03/2023 13:55

Sorry to derail.

Helleofabore · 03/03/2023 14:05

Ah.... well... Taking pics was not something my mum did back then. Film processing was expensive where we were.

But we kept them in pillow cases and sometimes slings on us. And mum fed them with a little bottle. Just like in this video.

Helleofabore · 03/03/2023 14:09

Sorry, Clymene for derailing.

Back to the thread. It was discussed on GBNews with Patrick Christy last night.

7Worfs · 03/03/2023 14:18

My God, I get a visceral reaction seeing baby boys that look like mine, subjected to this. If I could, I’d scoop them up and raise them as my own to save them from their dumbass parents and precarious future.
Must be post-partum hormones…

SinnerBoy · 03/03/2023 14:18

Helleofabore · Today 13:13

OH MY GOD! A fellow Skippy lover!!!! Whodathunkit on a UK parenting website!

Well, at least the babies haven't fallen down the mineshaft.

Yet...

SinnerBoy · 03/03/2023 14:19

Heh!

Helleofabore · 03/03/2023 11:13

So this is all about Lizzie and Gemma being bored and wanting to drink? What about entertaining their babies?

I found the wording of "Hosted by Lizzie and Gemma – Two performers turned mums who were constantly looking to be entertained whilst holding a baby in one hand and a pint in the other." to be rather enlightening.

The 'constantly looking to be entertained' part particularly says a lot.

Add in the hearing fucking Wheels on the Bus and afternoon delight comments and that tells you all you need to know about these mummies, this is all about them and their babies and toddlers are just props.

They don't seem to have worked out that baby and toddler groups are for the benefit of babies and toddlers not to entertain the fucking parents.

If those mummies want some afternoon delight adult entertainment here's a clue it's for adults - don't subject your babies and toddlers to it.

Totally irresponsible, appalling parenting. As others have said if this was working class mummies or single mothers on benefits living on a rough council estate the reaction would be a hell of of a lot different, the opprobrium that would be heaped on those mothers would be off the fucking scale, calls for Social Services to intervene would be deafening.

I judge the organisers, the venues hosting and all the attendees and performers extremely harshly, they deserve it.

Henowner · 03/03/2023 14:26

Reminds me of Nathan Barley and the idiots - I can't believe the whole concept of Caba Baba Rave isn't actual satire.

Why would any responsible parent take their child to see this?

SinnerBoy · 03/03/2023 14:29

Helleofabore

A bit more Oztraliana in Pomland to cheer you up:

Yet again the craziness in this country is going worldwide. They're talking about it in America, and is being used as Russian propaganda over how ridiculous the West is.

ArabellaScott · 03/03/2023 14:35

Good point.

SinnerBoy · 03/03/2023 14:29

That is unexpected! What a beauty!

Betty91 · 03/03/2023 14:38

I just cannot understand why anyone would allow a stranger, dressed in just skimpy pants pick up their child. And... is that meant to be WonderWoman costume.. the red with the gold wrist things...?

And yes, two events. CabaBabaRave was at Fox & Firkin I think? Scummy Mummies were at Honor Oak Pub at a bog standard Drag Story Time - or as Scummy Mummies like to call it - 'fighting actual fascism'. What are joke they are - (and not for the reason they think) - always banging on about how awful the Tories are and fighting fascism and now there they are at The Most Middle Class London Mum Cliche event complete with resident Drag Queen, leopard print and probably some gold leggings. Edgy.

Ginmonkeyagain · 03/03/2023 14:45

My first reaction is it looks pretty shit, amateurish and a bit awkward. It's like something out of the League of Gentlemen - anyone remember Legz Akimbo?

You wouldn't get away with putting that on for an adult audience.

If you want to do something family friendly that harks your rave years then Big Fish Little Fish out on really good, professional events.
