Caba Baba Rave - take your baby to watch nearly naked men in fetish gear

Journalist Dominique Samuels has posted video of one of their events: https://twitter.com/dominiquetaegon/status/1630948003962912768?s=61&t=gd6tu0Iz6JpyKXGLWMLGjg

Which features men gyrating and hanging from the ceiling surrounded by a crowd of clueless women and their babies.

I would say it's NSFW but it's apparently safe for babies so have a watch.

Here's a reddux article:

https://reduxx.info/uk-sold-out-rave-for-babies-featuring-drag-queens-prompts-outrage/

Since the video went viral, the company has taken down its website and Facebook and made their Instagram private. I wonder why? Confused

@RichardBarrister Couldn’t agree more with your third paragraph particularly.

EpicChaos · 02/03/2023 23:34

@AlisonDonut " I've gotten into spats with Clive before. He doesn't understand how degrading it is because he loves it, and sees it as gay men's rights to degrade women like this.
It really is astonishing to see what men defend. "

I had no idea who he is and still don't really, i only know that he's a friend of Dennis because it's mentioned on the twitter thread somewhere. I have to say, i'm surprised at Dennis having a friend with that sort of attitude though.
Good for you for taking him on though - more power to your elbow Alison!

It wouldn’t work in reverse because men aren’t taught to #bekind like women are. They can’t be as easily led into something like this to ‘validate’ other people or make them feel ‘accepted and included’. Men couldn’t give a fuck about appearing ‘tolerant’ because they’re not primed since birth to put somebody else’s feelings before their own. Any man I know would say this is creepy as fuck - there’s a reason these shows aren’t put on for dads. Nobody would turn up.

You’re right in general, but quite a lot of men /are/ taught to #bekind. It’s actually quite awkward even to say that to you - I hope you’re not offended.

I can’t believe there is even a market for this! I really don’t believe I know anyone who would go.

@Moonicorn But who is pushing this agenda, where’s it coming from and why is it being allowed?!

There are some posts towards the start of the thread that might help you work out what groups are involved.

However, if you think about recent controversies such as which group had Breslow as a trustee and also a communications manager who posed with an erect penis in an ‘artistic’ collage? Which other closely aligned charity has Peter Tatchell as its spokesperson who wrote about how not every act of sex with a child was abusive? And which group celebrates tolerance with images of males in dog fetish outfits on leashes being patted by children? And which group thinks it is marvellous diversity to have drag queens read to children in full costume? Lastly, which group had tried to ‘rebrand’ themselves by attempting to legitimise their sexual impulses if they don’t act on them and merely admit they are attracted to children?

It isn’t ‘one’ group’s failure, it is many of them.

To be clear, it is not specific to one sexual orientation either. The culprits have always been in society, it is nothing knew.

However, now you have groups supporting the lowering of sexual boundaries of children and adults in the name of tolerance and kindness for different reasons. Those reasons all contribute towards the outcome.

People pointing out the outcome are to be vilified and denounced as intolerant and phobic. Maybe even ‘out of date’, ‘not cool’ or ‘prudish’. Shamed for stating the obvious.

The statement released by the company organising this event mentioned the term ‘queer’ if that helps. As I said there was some discussion closer to the start of the thread.

WomanXXWorldsOriginsofMothersofAllNations · 03/03/2023 02:35

I find this image particularly sad / worrying… it’s hard to put my finger on why, because in most circumstances I find toddlers running around in just a nappy cute, but this just isn’t.

Lin999 · 03/03/2023 05:40

What next? Maybe the dads can organise a bunch of scantily clad female erotic dancers to perform in front of the kids?

I'm sure all the mums who thought this was a great idea would approve.

I can’t believe there is even a market for this! I really don’t believe I know anyone who would go.

This is what I don’t get. Who is driving this? Has there ever been a thread in AIBU that goes like this? And someone has gone “a-ha!” at spotting a gap in the market?

”Hi everyone. First post in AIBU so please be gentle. My PFB DS is only 6 months old, no real issues, but still BF at night which I don’t mind. Prior to him being born I really enjoyed going to gay BDSM-themed burlesque nights for entertainment. Always found it a great night out with a bunch of like-minded friends. I haven’t been since DS was born. It’s not really DH’s thing. I’d really like to go again, but I’m too tired to go at night, even if I could get DH to look after DS while I went or got a baby sitter while we both went. I just think it’s really unfair that all of the gay BDSM-themed burlesque events take place at a time that doesn’t suit parents with young babies.

“AIBU to expect there to be more gay BDSM-themed burlesque nights to be on during the day with the ability to bring your baby?”

^^

Delphinium20 · 03/03/2023 06:28

It's all just really sickening. Wtf is wrong with those parents? That dude in the fetish gear swinging? Those stilettos could puncture a baby if he lost his balance - so physically and emotionally dangerous. The entire display makes me despair for what else these parents are doing.

MrsJamin · 03/03/2023 06:57

This is so extreme, I couldn't believe this happened in the UK! Wtf are the local council doing allowing this to happen? Where are the child protection officers?

Oysterbabe · 03/03/2023 07:01

Let's hope they come under enough pressure to cancel the remaining events. Where can we complain about it?

FrancescaContini · 03/03/2023 07:29

@WomanXXWorldsOriginsofMothersofAllNations That photo is very disturbing. Are the parents on drugs?? Looks “happy clappy” but in a sinister way.

Saltovinegar · 03/03/2023 07:34

Social services, the police, the council should all be having a good look at this. Absolutely abhorrent. Anyone who attended or is defending this should be ashamed of themselves.

AlisonDonut · 03/03/2023 07:35

Has anyone got a link to the organisers or creaters stating that they are upset that the pics and video have been faked yet?

Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing the local councils don't know seeing as it's marketed as baby sensory classes.

Until I saw this with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed there was much demand among yummy mummies for men in thongs and heels to crawl on the floor with their children. But here we are.

The tickets are £25 fecking quid. 😳

Datun · 03/03/2023 07:46

Do we know what the 'sensory' part is yet? Half naked bondage man and 'baby sensory' in the same performance sounds very disturbing.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 03/03/2023 07:49

It does, doesn't it. I wondered if they just used it as a marketing buzzword, or if there is genuine "sensory play".

If your children were cared for ie school, nursery setting, by a person who found these events harmless and no problem...would you remove your children?

Here's a review from Instagram. So yes, it seems there are half naked bdsm men, booze and edible bubbles. And small children. What fun! Hmm

Babies AND babes? Is this Loaded magazine c 1996?

🤮🤮🤮

FrancescaContini · 03/03/2023 08:05

But as long as everyone there gets “some serious fun and nice community vibezzzz” then it’s okay, right?

Ourladycheesusedatum · 03/03/2023 08:22

Am late to the thread, but howling at the "fake" picture. Just how can it be fake when it's a still from the video, oh noes the video is fake too.

I mean if I was to try and fake something like this (why? ) I'd do a better job than an obvious phone video of potato quality.

As usual safeguarding is a crime or something.
