A woman has been found guilty of raping two women

A woman has been found guilty of raping two women when she was a man. Happened in Scotland. She hasn’t been sentenced yet - but where will she serve her sentence? In the womens prison?!
This is going to mean some serious discussions and tough times for the Scottish government. But it was surely only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Scotland is a misogynistic shit-show

Yes. There is truly no political party here with which I can slign myself.

SNP/Greens/Lib Dems/Labour - all in favour of trans rights (and therefore against women's rights)

Tories - right-wing cunts.

I have nowhere to place my "X" any longer.

Nicola Sturgeon is a rape enabler and thats how I hope she’s forever remembered. If any woman in that prison gets raped by this filth, it’s blood on her hands.

This!

Bit of topic but I'm now sat here wondering if what the sex of a new born baby is will disappear off of a birth certificate.

That's what the Edinburgh Trans Health Manifesto demands - an end to birth certificates.

I honestly don’t know what to say. It’s disgusting. I have a genuine question for those of you who are better informed than I am. Can someone explain why it’s only women who are angry about this?!?

A lot of men are angry about this but they are not liked on here because they have right wing views.

I can understand that tbh.
it feels rather odd to know that my views on this are more aligned with Tory ideology when I generally used to think of myself as pretty left of centre.
It upsets me greatly that I have felt unable to cast a meaningful vote the last few times I’ve had the opportunity, purely based on my beliefs on this subject.

But the main part of my question is still why trans folk aren’t screaming ‘not in my name’ too.

MiddleAgedAndExhausted · 24/01/2023 17:21

@EsmaCannonball Female prison officers do have to search transgender women prisoners

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 24/01/2023 17:23

This man will rape again in a woman's prison. If he does, that's on NS and everyone else who defends the right for biological men to be in womens spaces.

Ridemeginger · 24/01/2023 17:24

Keep reminding yourself that you did not leave the left. The left left you. The Tories have got a lot to answer for for pushing the self ID agenda in the first place. However, if you see this as an existential crisis, then you have to align with whoever is going ensure that woman and girls are not thrown to the wolves in the name of trans rights.

Impossible. Women are incapable of rape. This is a crime committed by a man and should be recorded as such and we should stop pandering to this ridiculous delusion.

There are several types of rape. Rape is a violent crime involving sexual acts forced on one person by another. Rape is technically defined as forced penetration (with any body part or object)
I'm a woman I could still rape another woman with a dildo or any other object. Or any man if I really wanted to.

BuffysBigSister · 24/01/2023 17:27

If anyone is in Aberdeen, on Jan 26th at 5:45pm John Docherty (Deputy Programme Exec of Scottish Prison Service) and Cat Dalrymple from Community Justice are giving a talk at Robert Gordon Uni on Scottish Prison Service Approach to Women in Custody. The event is organised by Scottish Association for the Study of Offending and is open to the public (mainly attended by lawyers, social workers etc). I have attended SASO events in Edinburgh but can't be in Aberdeen. Might be a chance for someone to challenge these guys in front of an audience - they don't usually get any pushback

Where is @margaritapie and her cronies today? How odd.

Exactly what I've been wondering. So strange that they're not here to educate us this afternoon.

Ridemeginger · 24/01/2023 17:31

They will be back here in a few days to gaslight you and say it didn't happen/ they aren't really trans/ whatever fucking pretzel logic they think up next.

In the picture doesn't he seem to still have a penis. Look at the leggings and then buy brain bleach

Came on to comment about that too.

Fucking Hell. So many things to say about it. Non of them polite

SirChenjins · 24/01/2023 17:33

I wondered that too - their silence is deafening. Perhaps they've finally accepted that some things are actually indefensible and there's no point in even trying.

FrostyFifi · 24/01/2023 17:33

@abittoofar not in the UK. Rape is specifically with a penis.

PaterPower · 24/01/2023 17:35

”They often have their male genitals on show.
Getting a kick out if being offensive to women?”

It’s not just women that find his outfit offensive.

You have to think so!

Not legally, you couldn’t. That would be sexual assault. The crime of ‘Rape’ needs a penis.

Women convicted of rape are usually convicted under a ‘joint enterprise’ principle of having provided material assistance to the rapist(s) with the penis.

duc748 · 24/01/2023 17:41

I consider myself very much 'of the Left' and would never vote Tory (the party that brought us Boris Johnson and Brexit) in a million years. But whilst Labour, Greens and LibDems are in thrall to this looney tunes ideology, they can whistle for my vote. I hope that by the time of the next election, Labour will have seen sense and changed policy. If not, it's a fringe candidate or spoilt ballot.

I’ve just looked and really wish I hadn’t.Still has a penis😒It’s frankly terrifying the amount of politicians and police forces that think this is ok.

Men who commit rape should have their dicks
Chopped off

Oh wait!

Does he still have a dick?

Yes, if the photo at Today 13:43 is anything to go by.

I don’t think the article says she’s been found guilty… it says it’s currently adjourned?

HE has been found guilty on two counts of rape

BellePeppa · 24/01/2023 18:00

‘She’ is still a man! Disgusting how they’re referring to him as a she. There’s a photo of him dressed as a woman with his male bits obviously still in his pants!

WarriorN · 24/01/2023 18:07

Don't know if this has been shared by bbc app is getting round it all by calling him the a rapist (quite rightly) and clearly spelling out "transgender woman."
