A woman has been found guilty of raping two women when she was a man. Happened in Scotland. She hasn’t been sentenced yet - but where will she serve her sentence? In the womens prison?!
This is going to mean some serious discussions and tough times for the Scottish government. But it was surely only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Not sure of the stat but it’s in the 90%s of female prisoners currently incarcerated have been sexually abused or assaulted by men.
many women will have suffered sexual abuse from an early age by predators and due to horrendous life experiences they have ended up in prison to be subjected again to a man potentially abusing,raping and assaulting them.

You just have to say the magic words "I am transitioning and intend to live as a woman" - you don't have to actually do anything to follow through on that intention, and living as a woman isn't defined, in order to be covered by the protected characteristic of gender reassignment.

Because they’re men and women (actual women) don’t get to say no to men, we’re not allowed to have something they can’t have, it’s hateful. If women can be women, then so can they, simple as that.

This is the first time this has happened in Scotland. There is already a row over where this prisoner will be held - given that women in a womens prison could be vulnerable.
