Who would you like to see come out as GC?

There are a few outspoken women, who I secretly daydream they’re GC. Top of my list would be Oprah. I’d be thrilled if she was a closet GCer. She would shut up all those people who spout crap like “TWAW just like black women are women” and other guff. But in reality, I doubt this will happen.

Also on my list, in no particular order is
Jenner Lawrence, Sharon Horton (I know she’s friends with Aisling Bea so it’s unlikely), Meryl Streep. I’ll add a few more names when I remember.

I think Carrie Fisher would have been GC, she was very smart and understood the issues women face.

And Victoria Wood too, who had a good handle on how size and class issues impacted woman (I miss VW, so incredibly talented).

Who would you love to see talk out about this?

Someone on Twitter telling Herring to invite Graham Linehan onto his podcast - now that GL has been 'proved 100% right about everything '.

to be honest, I don't think he deserves to have Glinner on there- if I was the latter I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that coward
I understand PP being sympathetic to celebs who say nothing out of fear- I get that- notable exceptions being so-called feminists
What I can't forgive is when they actively jump on the bandwagon, rather than keep quiet- the sizes of egos must be huge
feel so fucking bad for Glinner- he's been used by so many as a prop to prove just how virtuous they are- he's been the acceptable scapegoat- score a few virtue points, it's only glinner
I can't imagine how hurt he must have felt
BUT the tide is turning- and i for one can't bear to see the likes of Herring using Glinner as a life-raft and being all disingenous- "it was all nuanced and confusing"
fuck him and others like him- it's now time to put them in the sea!

I'm holding out hope for Caitlin Moran. At the time I got a lot out of 'How to be a Woman'.

GL definitely deserves an apology from someone. I'm sure the problem many have in his industry is that he went full activist rather than making the odd joke or comment. He also gets crucified on the Cook'd and Bomb'd forum which many comedians and industry types read.

Eurgh, I can't read that forum anymore for that reason.
