Philomena Cunk has a new documentary coming up.
In it, she asks the question of how no one but a witch of author did due diligence over a charity which thinks safeguarding is what you do when you stick chocolate in the fridge rather than the fire.
This is a charity, whose founder took her kid to Thailand and the US to bypass safeguarding and ethical practice in the UK. Resulting in Thailand then tightening up their laws.
The founder doesn't seem too keen on the idea that their child might have been gay and always wanted a daughter. And knew they were a girl after they played with the wrong toys.
They didn't understand their obligations under GDPR and Data Protection and got stuffed by the ICO because they fucked up that.
Then they had kids speaking to adults behind parents back as their standard practice. Until it was pointed out this isnt a good idea.
Then they had criticism for a calender which might be viewed as inappropriate for a children's charity.
They used to say that children were trapped in the wrong body. Well until it was pointed out this was harmful, so they absolutely didn't believe this after all. And no one thought that weird.
They just rolled the celebs out. And a bit like the Brass Eye Paedo Paradody Episode, none of these people did background checks when putting their name to something. They just stood their with their Mermaids Tshirts shouting on twitter about how hateful JKR was (noting not one of them can produce a hateful JKR tweet - they just KNOW)
Then there was the time they said they hadn't bothered with knowing the latest reports on the quality of the service that they'd spent the last few years lobbying to hand out blockers and surgery, cos that wasn't their bag and oh well they might not agree with it because it wasn't in line with the ancedotes of those they've spent the last few years brainwashing.
They just kept ramming home the point about suicide, to a group who are particularly vulnerable when the advice is not to promote suicide because doing so tends to encourage it rather than decrease it because of the well known phenomena of social contagion with suicide (remember those forums where parents weren't allowed but other unknown random adults were).
Then there was the bigging up of the GP under investigation and then struck off for misconduct...
It was a fucking hilarious skit. If it wasn't all bloody true.
The whole thing is a complete shit show of one failing after another over duty of care, due diligence and safeguarding. Yet its like everyone's brain has fallen out in the race to be supporting the latest trendy cause.
