A key part of an open-air event is controlling your space. A technique that every good busker learns.

They pick a victim and bully them out, to flush out anyone who might stand up to them. More moderate members leave and at the tipping point, you have lost your organisation.

White women who took part in No Hijab Day were openly welcomed. They got lots of new follows from brown women working in this area and lots of likes and retweets. You can be nervous, but you really are welcome as long as you do not say anything racist. It is why there were even suggested tweets to encourage women who are nervous and unsure what to say.

I 100% agree with this. This will destroy. Standing for Women. They were testing the waters. Now they know Hearts of Oak and similar are welcome.

It sounds like a lot (not all) of you are new to this kind or organising. We have seen this happen before. It is not too late to stop it happening, but on the current trajectory the fascists will move in and moderate women will move out.

And if a woman whose political views she or you, or anyone disagreed with, wanted to speak about the specific issue she is campaigning on, she would let them.

I think the main problem for people with Posie is that they can't shame her into shutting up.

No, we're very much talking about tactics and management, because what we see happening far more often is ever-escalating demands to denounce each other for wrong-think.

That sort of invasion of wrong-think detectors is far more of a real current threat to an organisation in this space than "fascists" invading. That's what we're trying to manage.

And it's what most of us have been on the receiving end of so we're super sensitive to it.

Actually, I would like to see an example of this sort of "fascist" takeover. I've seen dozens upon dozens of "woke" takeovers in recent years. Show me some "fascist" ones. Maybe I've just been looking in the wrong places?
