The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

Qq for anyone better informed - after Maya's successful appeal about gender critical views being "worthy of respect in a democratic society", do we know if the Equal Treatment Bench Book has been updated?

I'm just wondering if part of the issue here is that GCC are receiving messages about supposed transphobia from Stonewall, the initial (absurd) Maya ruling and the ETBB simultaneously that really made them think that AB would be classed as a bigot in the brave new world?

Not being funny, but surely anyone old enough to have had the old "birds and the bees" chat is likely to be well enough informed to be able to conclude that the idea that a belief that biological sex is real and matters is worthy of respect in a democratic society, and that a legal decision which suggests otherwise is likely to be overturned? Or would they have really advised Maya F that there is no point fighting on, "you'll never win with your extreme and unreasonable beliefs!" had they been her barristers?

JK is basically saying no, she didn't go and read any of it.

Surely once AB had raised it, JK was aware, so therefore she could have expressed concern for her. This is really awful.

And that AB should have suggested that GCC put out a statement condemning the threats against Allison. 🤨

Allison, after watching this, you are a warrior to have put up with this lot. You really are. ❤️

That bit was particularly awful.

Page 629 of the bundle, JK's summary of her discussion with AB after GCC had thrown her to the wolves with their tweet, is well worth a read. This is the moment when for JK the penny drops about what a mess GCC have got themselves in to.
