The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

EJ is now having to repeat BC's questions to get MS to engage rather than have another outburst.

Xenia · 18/05/2022 12:32

Thanks for the updates from everyone as I am only following it on here.
I believe in freedom including men (including those who choose to identify as female) meeting to work out how to get more sex (plus ca change for most men to be honest which pretty much proves they are really men not women anyway), but to take all these measures against Allison B is the opposite of freedom. That is where the chambers went wrong here.

The bigger issue for all empoloyers however is when does someone's unpopular view (assuming AB's were unpopular which it certainly does not seem to be in the light of this thread) on something outside work mean the employer (not that AB is employed) may take action to protect the company - when a notorious employee outside work does work perfectly but lots of people think badly of that person (not that most of us think badly of AB) when can the employer act eg if shareholders are receiving fewer profits because everyone is avoiding the chambers where lawyers are calling for Russia to win in Ukraine etc. it is one reason I think it is best people keep off social media and ensure clients have no idea how they vote, what their views are , if they pro or anti eco measures etc etc on every issue. However I am crying into the wind on this and against the trend that people do want to put their views out there and just as well they do - had we not had Votes for Women in the past I would not even be allowed by law to do my job.

I hope she wins and people do fight back against this ideology. I specifically include "he or she" in many things these days and always avoid a pointless inaccurate plural where I can - just about the only thing I can do of practical use on this issue.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 18/05/2022 12:32

She doesn't 'know whom is being abusive to whom about what' on the terf is a slur website. So she hasn't properly read it.

chilling19 · 18/05/2022 12:32

Judge has her head in her hands 😂

Clymene · 18/05/2022 12:32

MS is lying. She knows exactly who is being abusive to who about what on the terfisaslur website.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 18/05/2022 12:32

Nauticant, that sentence was on the tip of her tongue.

IHadToEducateMyself · 18/05/2022 12:32

I'm not familiar with court proceedings- is it common for judges to have to repeat questions asked by barristers in order to get answers?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 18/05/2022 12:33

I agree, Clymene. Of course she knows, that's the whole point of the term "TERF"

Gabcsika · 18/05/2022 12:33

Oh Ben is so so good. Today has been his best day I think.

@IdisagreeMrHochhauser

I'm so glad I don't have work today :)

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 18/05/2022 12:33

MS/AH/IO et al have NO respect for the EJ and the tribunal. I half expect MS to say she's decided not to answer any more questions and flounce off

malloo · 18/05/2022 12:33

MS to BC "You're taking me down a rabbit hole I'm not prepared to go down".

Well maybe if you'd explored what was down the rabbit hole a bit earlier you wouldn't be sitting here having to do this now😀

Chrysanthemum5 · 18/05/2022 12:34

@Gabcsika I am at work and listening between meetings. Not a lot of other work getting done.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 18/05/2022 12:34

I do have work today! This feels like it's era defining so I'm watching it anyway. I don't even care if I lose my job at this point.

I don't think so, only if the person giving evidence won't give a clear answer.

Like the TRA on Piers Morgan Grin

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 18/05/2022 12:35

I think she needs a glass of water.

Lougle · 18/05/2022 12:35

He's pretty patient with her.

Cuck00soup · 18/05/2022 12:35

Brewsigning in & picking chin up from the floor.
Thank You for the new thread.

nauticant · 18/05/2022 12:36

EJ is now nudging the cross-examination of MS to a close. Probably for the best.

AlisonDonut · 18/05/2022 12:37

If you hadn't dithered over answers this would already been over with. Honestly...

Clymene · 18/05/2022 12:37

It's quite astonishing that MS, a QC, is effectively refusing to answer questions.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 18/05/2022 12:38

YY.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 18/05/2022 12:39

@Clymene I don't think MS QC has answered a single question today

User237845 · 18/05/2022 12:39

MS talks to BC like he's a dopey office junior.

I am supposed to be working from home today. Am getting nothing done and my surly, on-study-leave teenager keeps coming in and eyeing me disapprovingly.

User237845 · 18/05/2022 12:40

Do we know who's after MS please?
