Yes Signal I thought the same. She’s reminding me of LT: all very vague and hand wavery until they get cross and then immediately switch.

WookeyHole · 17/05/2022 15:20

Apple users! I have finally managed to get in. Had to do as pp said (I'm v sorry I haven't scrolled back to see who it was), but initially ensure the video and audio are not crossed out as per instructions as these are the court audio and video. Then on the pop up, for my own audio and video I had to select default and allow rather than none. Then once in very quickly hit the blue video and audio buttons to mute/hide myself. It worked. Hooray. Such a shame to have missed AB but finally able to follow when not at work. Thanks for the tips.

I'm not watching and relying on this thread for updates, but I'm forming a picture that for anyone in employment asked to investigate a complaint against a colleague, this case is a handy "How Not To Do It" guide...

nauticant · 17/05/2022 15:28

This is a very stuttery response when MS is asked about her email complaining about AB "slagging off Stonewall".

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 17/05/2022 15:29

Interesting reference to opposition to Stonewall there. Haven't read her witness statement. Now she knows there is opposition to Stonewall how does she feel about it?

nauticant · 17/05/2022 15:30

I'm not reading MS as gender critical, more that challenging Stonewall is offensive in itself.

Signalbox · 17/05/2022 15:31

I don't think MS is that taken with the chambers being Stonewall Diversity Champions. She just called it "this thing" with quite a scathing tone. And that's the 2nd time she put on a voice when mentioning it.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/05/2022 15:31

This is the whole point, isn't it? Stonewall are important and shouldn't be offended.

NoImAVeronica · 17/05/2022 15:31

I thought there was a pretty telling bit of venom in her delivery of 'Stonewall Diversity Champion' then...

NoImAVeronica · 17/05/2022 15:32

Signal x-post!

Ameanstreakamilewide · 17/05/2022 15:32

Absolutely, Eresh.

Signalbox · 17/05/2022 15:33

NoImAVeronica · 17/05/2022 15:32

Signal x-post!

I was wondering if I was imagining it!

nauticant · 17/05/2022 15:34

MS: "Didn't KM say that anything was evidence of transphobia?"

!!! In that case I can't read MS properly at all.

Eelicks · 17/05/2022 15:44

How interesting that its two female barristers who were instructed to take on the thankless task of investigating the complaints. The big important male barristers clearly too busy jetting around and dealing with their important cases.

Now MS has to sit and defend it. I'd be p*sssed off too

exwhyzed · 17/05/2022 15:44

And there we have it again. The anger at Allison for dragging them into this process.

I suspect that MS was possibly ambivalent/ onside with Allison prior to Allison's comment to her about harassment and has taken it very personally.

Manderleyagain · 17/05/2022 15:44

Thanks everyone for your insights into "keep free" and alternatives when managing your own diaries. Interesting.

tabbycatstripy · 17/05/2022 15:47

I didn’t think it was possible for so many Pontius Pilates to work in one building.

TeenPlusCat · 17/05/2022 15:47

Why don't Chambers have a 'practice manager' to do all the HR stuff in the same way that GPs do?

Pyjamagame · 17/05/2022 15:48

I can't believe the number of people in chambers who don't use social media, or very rarely.

MsMarvellous · 17/05/2022 15:48

TeenPlusCat · 17/05/2022 15:47

Why don't Chambers have a 'practice manager' to do all the HR stuff in the same way that GPs do?

Some do.

Appalonia · 17/05/2022 15:53

Wow she sounds outraged!

stimpyyouidiot · 17/05/2022 15:54

She really doesn't want to commit does she.

nauticant · 17/05/2022 15:54

We're getting to one of the fundamental points here. GCC reacted so strongly that they had been accused of discrimination, because it undermines their self image, and as a result they were unable to respond to AB's push-back in a reasonable way.

MS responds to this is being almost unthinkable. (I'm paraphrasing.)

Clymene · 17/05/2022 15:54

How dare he question her again in the morning? ShockHmm

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 17/05/2022 15:54

I think that what genuine upset? She sounds like she's angry at the accusation but also about to cry.
