Maybe judge can put on CBeebies at 4.20pm, it's sometimes the only way to get through the witching hour before tea's ready.

I hadn't noticed the birdsong, Lio. I am trying to learn to put names to songs so I shall listen out tomorrow.

Seems likely to me that TMs are being put in the firing line because they're expendable. But I have been very surprised at their calibre.

Lio · 16/05/2022 18:34

Just remembered I actually have something mildly interesting to contribute: for anyone who heard lovely birdsong in BC's background and was wondering what the bird was (I think it was when AH was complaining about four minutes having been spent on something) it was a wren!

I'm currently in an online event where the speaker is apologising for the cries of mating peacocks in the background…

MagnoliaTaint · 16/05/2022 18:56

To be fair peacocks do sound especially alarming.

MagnoliaTaint · 16/05/2022 18:56

or maybe its the peahens.

Maybe they are genderfluid peafowl.

ZandathePanda · 16/05/2022 19:04

Presumably Stonewall have to answer to the Charity Commission don’t they? Surely they have to do some sort of due diligence (with all their ‘subgroups’), for the Charity Commission?

tabbycatstripy · 16/05/2022 19:05

I think only letting them have water is a bit harsh when clearly some of them need rusks.

We are doing barrister-led weaning here and it's working pretty well although it can get messy.

I logged in on my iPhone after enabling both audio and video and then had to disable my video once in.

Theclitterati
Yes you are right. All the evidence is that blokes are more sceptical than women about the 'be kind' demands. The resistance from radical feminists, older feminists etc is obviously mostly women, but it's also true that women and trans men are doing this. And very female dominated industries are embracing it - the birthing world for example.

Today was interesting. Stonewall have been trying to make out that STAG is not part of stonewall, thst it's a group who advise stonewall rather than you part of stonewall that advise others. i don't think that can really fly as they recruited the people and they have a part of 'the wall', and the communication goes both ways, but they should have thought more about what oversight they had.

It would be like if the rhs set up an 'rhs brassica advisory group' of people with relevant experience and expertise to advise rhs on everything broccoli and cabbage. Rhs recruited & interviewed them, paid expenses, gave them access to the rhs intranet. Members used their status on the panel when they went speaking to the sprout growers guild or farmers. But would they then still be representing rhs if they used that forum to make complaints against a lettuce grower because they think lettuce sucks and brocolli rules? I would have thought so if that was the forum used.

Good point - and making me splutter into my tea :)

‘We are doing barrister-led weaning here and it's working pretty well although it can get messy.’

Mainly because we’re all being asked to swallow a load of bullshit?

CriticalCondition · 16/05/2022 19:14

Just as well I suppose that they weren't minded to have a Stonewall Lesbian Advisory Group....

Are you saying that BC has an undisclosed support Wren?

Those are cock fighting words. I'd say that you must be eagle-eyed but you this is all based from song identification?

I'm sitting on my hands not to type out the cuckoo quip that is waiting to be written by someone.

I'll buzzard for now.

Here we go again. Funny how none of them use social media and have no idea that terf is used in a derogatory way. Even as they're using it in a derogatory way.

Indeed! I hope that they were told to provide their usernames for Twitter and other social media platforms. Although given the lack of transparency from the operators of those sites it would be very difficult to verify them.

What happened in June 2020 that might have prompted him to write up his notes?

Could it be that at that time, Stonewall was panicking about what they wanted to disclose/not disclose? In AB's witness statement she says they committed to providing full disclosure by 15 June, and that they never did.

I've a vague recollection of SW's 1st disclosure giving little & it was only once GCC's disclosure was made that it became obvious there was communication between them & that SW had discussed AB, so a second attempt was made using the disclosure from GCC. Perhaps the timing coincides with some point after GCC's disclosure?

I have no idea how co-ordinated the respondents were initially as I'm wondering if the SK statement was put together after GCC disclosure (sort of reconstructing events from a (poor) memory & GCC's disclosure?

The Q about how SK takes notes given the additional support measures in place suggests (to me, at least) there was a method of taking notes used to assist & I don't think that's been disclosed. Someone else has suggested that those notes will be contemporaneous & more likely to reflect the meeting that the statements from June 2020. The comment about the document Ben C QC asked for was started on in June 2020 so I'm not sure this is the contemporaneous notes either.

I guess we'll find out more tomorrow...

He's as sharp as a tack, isn't he??

Yes, he has spoken very rarely but always on point. Interesting that Judge Goodman had so many questions for Mr Knan, too.

UndisclosedSupportWren · 16/05/2022 20:11

I think the only thing that’s clear is that lettuce does indeed suck. Broccoli rules #Nodebate

cloudcats · 16/05/2022 20:14

Does anyone know who's on tomorrow?

Or, to put it another way, if you could take one day off work this week and wanted to catch some of the trial, which day do you think will be best to watch? Is there any idea of who will be on this week?

tabbycatstripy · 16/05/2022 20:15

More Rajiv Menon for a bit.

I think box office billing after Allison is Michelle Brewer but sadly we don't have a timetable/ list of witnesses.
