We must have a tolerent debate.... Trans community are the most marginalised community of all

....and 'Only women have a cervix' is, "Something that should not be said."

At least six children by at least three different women indicates Bozza's LadyRadar works OK.

John McDonnell was asked the same question, “Is it transphobic to say only women have a cervix” Answer “It all depends on the context”
The same question was asked in various ways..read on for all the ways ‘context’ can be used.

I have disabled children. I'm buggered if I'm voting tory. The only means of abstention we have is spoiling our voting paper. The alternative is merely not voting which doesn't distinguish us from people who don't bother.

NancyDrawed · 26/09/2021 19:58

Julia Long straight talking

NancyDrawed · 26/09/2021 20:00

Jess Phillips 'I've just been talking about dead women for ages'

Julia Long 'Oh, how do you know they were women?!'

Tanith · 26/09/2021 20:16
@TheInebriati the Conservative party does not require its members to endorse 'TWAW'. It is shocking how far Theresa May let herself be influenced...I think you will find Justine Greening is no longer an MP. I am fairly sure that Boris Johnson for all his faults knows what a biological woman is.
www.conservativesforwomen.org/free-speech
You mean Caroline Noakes, Crispin Blunt, Penny Mordaunt, Sue Pascoe are all firmly in the Gender Critical camp?
Boris Johnson will say whatever suits him at the time.

The only way to vote is the same way people are voting within the parties themselves. Ask each candidate for their views and vote for them, or not, accordingly.
It would be a crying shame if GC voters in Canterbury can't bring themselves to vote for Rosie Duffield just because she's Labour.

That video with Jess Phillips sums up the nonsense the Labour Party has embraced.

It's two letters to the Editor. First says complains that Times report said 'senior Labour MPs raillied behind Duffield' whereas in fact Lisa Nandy didn't refer to the abuse & signed a pledge last year calling for the expulsion of gender-critical feminists. Jess Phillips supports “any woman” who “feels” threatened – rather than this specific one who is, in fact, being threatened. And Keir Starmer? A private message and no public statement. If this is rallying behind someone, heaven help women in the Labour Party.' Second letter says 'It is terrifying that so many elected representatives let their stated opinions be ruled by focus groups. Duffield’s senior Labour colleagues cannot expect to be taken seriously when they will not condemn extreme trans activists threatening women. They are not fit to represent my cat.'

Great letters there.

foxgoosefinch · 26/09/2021 21:17

I don’t care if people are trans, but I do care if they try to dismantle women and our rights while in pursuit of validation.

This, absolutely.

Plus, my absolute disappointment and horror at Starmer is also down to the fact that no matter how left I am, I also don’t want to vote for someone who is a liar. Boris is a fucking liar and I don’t vote for him. I don’t want to hold my nose and vote for someone who is telling me what Starmer’s telling me, because he also is blatantly lying.

The whole ideology is based on lies and pretence. No matter who in his party he wants to appease, there’s a simple way to get around it and that’s replying: “Well Andrew, yes, only biological women have a cervix but some women identify as transmen, so to be inclusive of those people I would phrase it differently to Rosie. But she is also entitled to express her opinion without being harassed.”

[or even “identify as men”, I don’t care, as long ax it’s clear thar “identify as” is not the same thing as “actually are”.]

Truth told, job done, no denying of reality. Why can’t he do that?

The truth we all know, is that transmen are women who want to be men; they aren’t biological men or they wouldn’t be trans. Why lie and pretend you believe in the magical gender fairies who can turn straw into gold (or vice versa) just by wishing it?

We are not stupid, Keir.

Thank you

Great letters there.

Yes. Great to see a letter from a trans woman saying "not in my name" and one from a Professor in Pharmacy and Biological Sciences pointing out biological fact.

Mollyollydolly · 26/09/2021 22:00

@politics4me

What a disappointment KS is. Eleven years in opposition and the only real plan on Electing a Leader is rubbished, not even taken seriously.

To heal the UK, STOP talking about Brexit. Re-state the Sex Discrimination Act, take heed of Judge Holdroyds summing up in the case of men in womens prisons.
Vote Tory then get rid of the old guard like ReesMogg and Boris and see what the Red Wall types can do. Some of the Northern Mayors and Council Leaders are making a good difference.
They Can change. They will change if it is in their interest to change.

ps Great respect for Andy Burnham too.

Unfortunately Andy Burnham is no better on this issue. Remember when he met LGB Alliance and then apologised to the LGBTQ community for doing so. I wouldn't trust him either. www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/andy-burnham-trans-community-support-17743380

Is it true that Starmer was the lawyer who decided there wasn’t enough evidence to investigate Saville?

@Rhannion

Is it true that Starmer was the lawyer who decided there wasn’t enough evidence to investigate Saville?
No. He was chief of the CPS, but not the investigator. This is easily-Googleable and has been debunked for a long time.

Let's stick to discussing what he actually has done wrong.
