What are all the liberal celebs so quiet now at the spa?

So we all knew that a man would get his cock out in front of women and little girls in a changing room at some point. And we would be told that the toddlers should just get over their bigotry.

Anyway, I was wondering why we haven't heard from all the slebs who have be parroting the TWAW line. Has anyone heard? Has anyone come out and and defended this brave penis? (Which I bet was a little bit hard as it sat exposing itself to a changing room full of women and little girls.)

Emma Watson? Sarah Silverman? Daniel Radcliffe? Why so quiet?

I listen to a few podcasts from comedians based in LA and I am always saddened to hear the casual way that LA millennials have decided that JKR is now toxic. Haven't heard anything about this yet from all of them.

Or am I being unfair?

I don’t really understand the “it didn’t happen” comments. Surely the activist position is that it should be able to happen and therefore their concern would be with how complaining about it was “transphobic”. Or is that activist position that it did happen but that the complaining didn’t? If the activist position is that no male exposed their penis in a women and girls’ space, then presumably that would be quickly followed with “but of course it would be fine if they did provided they do not have a male gender identity”?

ArabellaScott · 05/07/2021 10:07

Tripadvisor review from 2018 that mentions the same situation (screenshot attached)

the woman whose video went viral

and now another woman talking about her and her 6 year old daughter on youtube.

I believe women when they talk about being sexually assaulted. Exhibitionism and flashing is a form of sexual assault.

What are all the liberal celebs so quiet now at the spa?
NotBadConsidering · 05/07/2021 10:09

I have a few theories OP.

Some celebs have only a superficial understanding of the entire issue.

Some have a massive blind spot to certain aspects.

Many celebs are just completely dumb.

Some of them probably see it now but realise they’ve dug themselves into a hole and can’t figure a way out so are hoping to stay quiet, keep out of it and hope the whole thing blows over.

Only the truly creepy, offensive, worst of the worst would defend a child being exposed to a penis, or deny that it even happened.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 05/07/2021 10:09

It's a real pick and mix from the bag of TRA responses. From,
It didn't happen
She's a right wing bigot so shouldn't be listened to.
The penis is female
Children shouldn't look at the naked penis
Get used to it
TWAW so no problem.

No matter how serious, no matter what the evidence, the rights of men self identifying as women to expose themselves to little girls will be defended.

ClarrieGrundy · 05/07/2021 10:11

Yeahbutnaw - I think you may have jumped the shark on this one.

Is it a known LGBT hotspot? The women's changing rooms? Is it known for having penises in it? The family-friendly section?

I think you have tipped your hand because that is utter nonsense. In this day of social media, do you really think that a quick google would not bring up, 'Hey ladies, if you are happy for your 4 year old daughter to see some random's cock and balls, this is the place for you!'

It had one such review, but I imagine that it it was a well known T hotspot, people would be aware.

And even if it is, that does not make it right.

Females have known the threat of male genitalia since we crawled from the primordial ooze. Rape and sexual violence has been used as a weapon in war since the first caveman got a bit pissed off about his mate chasing the wrong wilderbeast.

It is hardwired into us. And no one can gaslight us out of that.

This.

If it didn’t happen, why are so many people keen to say that there wouldn’t be a problem if it did?

Etorih · 05/07/2021 10:11

I'm so sick of the anti woman, anti safeguarding, homophobic, racist, stinking rhetoric that pour out of people's mouths in the name of 'progress' from the self identified 'enlightened'. The constant push to diminish children's boundaries and leave them at risk from sexual predators. I've absolutely had enough of it.

yourhairiswinterfire · 05/07/2021 10:12

You also think it's perfectly rational for an anti-trans person to blame trans people when a Wispa randomly appears in their garden? When it in fact was a neighbouring child?

You talking about Allison? Because she's been threatened with violence, hounded at work by TRAs, has had to witness vile lesbophobia, has been racially abused on Twitter by the ''right side of history'' gang, and two charmers even suggested burning her house down.

I don't think her fear of ''the right side of history'' gang is irrational at all, no.

Or are you just going to suggest that none of that happened either?

I think you may have nailed it.

The other thing that I have to get right is that a lot of celebs may be very pretty, or good at acting, or even be pretty and good at acting, but a lot of them are as thick as mince.

For those repeatedly minded to disbelieve women's accounts of sexual abuse, it's worth remembering that we all post on Mumsnet who have openly campaigned for women to be believed and heard about rape and sexual assault. (Indecent exposure being evidenced as a gateway crime to other sexual crimes)

www.mumsnet.com/campaigns/we-believe-you-mumsnet-rape-awareness-campaign

MummBraTheEverLeaking · 05/07/2021 10:15

It didn't happen 😂

Righty ho, but if she videoed the individual you'd all be screaming about the privacy invasion.

So women are either nasty liars or nasty voyeurs. Call them bigots, destroy their credibility, anything except listen to them, believe them, respect them.

There's no depths some people will not sink to in order to defend males inserting themselves into every single space, no matter the distress they cause to others.

Now bugger off and trip trap elsewhere.

My heart really goes out to the mother who made that video, thanks for sharing it here JoodyBlue.

Sophoclesthefox · 05/07/2021 10:17

Ribbons are a hate crime, the phrase “adult human female” is a transphobic dog whistle, people here are made unsafe by women having opinions, but for gods sake don’t over react if you are afraid someone tried to poison your dog!

I suppose some people do have a blind spot when it comes to empathy for black women. It’s not good.

laddyandthetramp · 05/07/2021 10:18

Could it be that there's no evidence that it actually happened?

This is only ever spouted with something people disagree with.

If it was in your favour, you'd probably stay quiet and not bother correcting it. Reminds me of the "what are your credentials" whenever someone is on the opposite side, but you'll take anything from some random, as long as it supports you

What makes you think this incident isn't true?

Whatwouldscullydo · 05/07/2021 10:23

Well we do know of one person who has openly admitted she woukd take them all In her space.

So there's that

Oooh, who? I've missed that. Is it the kind lady who would have us all round to used he toilet?

If it is a known LGBT hotspot that should be made clear as people pay money to go in. Women should not hand over cash on the assumption that they are entering single sex space. The poster here is making it very clear that women should not expect any right to single sex space. Anyone reading this who is not clear on that fact please note it. The activists campaign is to remove any right to single sex space at all.

Perfectly fair. Where is that silly Izzard of Was person? He could explain how its all Perfectly Normal. He has such a way with words. Come on Eddie!
Helleofabore · 05/07/2021 10:27

So you think it's perfectly rational for an anti-LGBT person to go to a known LGBT hotspot?

Is it though? From what I have read and the reviews, it is a 'known' Korean family 'hotspot'? I think you are twisting this wildly. It is a place where people take their families. If you listen or read other reviews, even Korean family's take their 'grandmas'.

You also think it's perfectly rational for an anti-trans person to blame trans people when a Wispa randomly appears in their garden? When it in fact was a neighbouring child?

What the fuck are you talking about. A Wi Spa randomly appearing in someone's garden? How do you get a whole building just appearing in a garden? And how does a neighbouring child even conjure up a Wi Spa franchise in the neighbours yard?

There's a long history of anti-trans people manufacturing incidents to incite hatred of trans people.

And there is a long history of people calling others 'anti-trans' when they are not 'anti-trans'. And there is a long history of hyperbole, deflection and distraction that occurs on these threads.

And there is a long history of people ignoring safeguarding guidelines and lowering boundaries for children and women in the name of many things that result in harm.

And there is a long history in denying that incidents like this happen.

And there is a long history in telling people that a nine year old should become accustomed to knowing that trans bodies are different (while ignoring the many fully functioning trans bodies involved in porn that is even to be found without appropriate labelling on twitter).

Nine year old girls. Being told that penises within a metre of them in a hot tub shouldn't make them uncomfortable and they should not even be looking.

Nine year old girls.

ScreamingMeMe · 05/07/2021 10:31

There was a group of upset-looking women and children in robes in reception. There was another woman at reception asking for a refund, she also looked shaken.

"Didn't happen" my arse.

I guess the TRA Juggernaut is going far too fast to turn around now. The excuses, lies, minimising and smearing are a joy to behold. Please, do continue.

Exactly. It looks like Yeahbutnaw never got the memo that they're meant to be defending it, not denying it, because it's so shameful.
Rhannion · 05/07/2021 10:34

The policeman who murdered Sarah Everard was a flasher first. It’s very common for sex offenders to start like that, then it escalates. Join the dots , doubters and see how all the people who said this would happen have been vindicated

Whatwouldscullydo · 05/07/2021 10:35

Well we must remember that everyone who says they are a woman is a woman but when that person something bad or commits a crime they were not true trans therefor it still hasn't happened yet
