I don't get the "it never happened" argument. No-one is suggesting that the transwoman did anything "wrong". It's a very, very common response to women asking that they be listened to/believed about sexual assault.

I see it so often. Women bring up figures of convictions for rape, etc.

Men bring up figures for how 'women lie' or 'women are manipulative'. Form of denial, at best.

Not this particular spa, but there was a UK-based poster on here a year or two ago who said that her grandmother had stopped going swimming at the local leisure centre because she found herself in the shower next to a naked person with a penis.
