Well it's all kicking off at the spa. An amazing woman behind the desk standing up for women and telling a man where to take his penis. I fear she will lose her job over this but it's a glorious way to go.

It’s not ok. I would have been very disturbed by this especially if I was on my own in there with him. Why be in there flaunting your cock and balls at women and children? We all know why but “it never happens”.

EdinburghFeminist · 27/06/2021 14:33

They have just legalised indecent exposure.

OldCrone · 27/06/2021 14:34

Without knowing more info, it does sound like a self declaring male who wants to be in a female space, rather than a transgender female.

How can we tell the difference between these two types of people?

And if a person has a penis, why does it matter what their internal feeling about their gender is?

RoyalCorgi · 27/06/2021 14:37

They have just legalised indecent exposure.

Exactly. It makes me so angry. People like JKR being called bigots, issued with death threats etc, precisely because she (and we) warned against exactly this scenario. And now a man exposes himself in a roomful of girls, women and toddlers, and we are supposed to believe he's really a woman.

The question I want to ask people who defend this is: what the hell i going on in your tiny fucking brains?

VortexofBloggery · 27/06/2021 14:39

screamingMeMe it's a NO from me too. Never OK. Always a red flag.

AuntyFungal · 27/06/2021 14:41

Any US citizens (or knowledgable) folks about?

What’s the difference/threshold between (if any)

  • indecent exposure to an adult
  • indecent exposure to a minor

Who would be liable if a crime has been committed against the minor?
Business, parent or TG user?

I can’t believe Child Services aren’t involved.
Are there no child protection carve outs at all?

CigarsofthePharoahs · 27/06/2021 14:46

Now there's a brave woman.
There seemed to be a number of women hanging around in dressing gowns, slippers and with wet hair. Looks like a lot of women were unhappy at having a naked male in their space.
I agree with PP - the reality of the whole woke self ID thing is starting to hit home.

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 27/06/2021 14:50

I hope this turns into a beacon moment for the women and children of the US:

Exactly. Me not wanting to be flashed at has got fuck all to do with what the person thinks of themselves!

Why, "NO"?
Promise I am not being goady - just keen to understand people's views.

I am just talking with DH and we know of females/males in changing rooms who simply let it all hang out quite "in your face" and unwanted, and neither of us want to see that no matter how "confident" the person wandering around is or what gender persuasion they are.[/quote]
Maybe not but this was quite common when I was growing up - people changed very openly in the same-SEX changing rooms.

And in spas like this one, you are naked the whole time, much like in a traditional Turkish bath, so if you don't like nudity you probably won't go.

Marguerite2000 · 27/06/2021 14:53

This is great stuff. So glad it was filmed, hopefully it goes viral.

thecatfromjapan · 27/06/2021 14:55

@EdinburghFeminist

They have just legalised indecent exposure.

Because the threshold has been eliminated.

I'm guessing it will take a while but that threshold will be reinstated. Eventually. After unpleasant incidents, impacting on real people.

lazylinguist · 27/06/2021 14:59

People have made their views clear. A lot. It's not about 'gender persuasion'. It's about sex. If you are a woman or a girl going into a women's changing room, you know there will be potentially naked women in there (and maybe some will be a bit more blatantly naked than others). There should not be any people of the male sex in there, because it's not a male changing room.

If you're saying you can't see any reasons why a woman or girl would be more bothered by seeing a naked man in their changing room than by a woman being a bit too overtly naked, then you're either a bit dim or being disingenuous.

Datun · 27/06/2021 15:01

They have just legalised indecent exposure.

Five years ago, a woman on this very board said the crimes of voyeurism and indecent exposure will cease to exist.

thecatfromjapan · 27/06/2021 15:06

I'm willing to bet money that the Soa resolved this by saying women have to wear swimming gear in the women's section at all times.

Because they are now trapped between the federal law and customers' real concerns about indecent exposure.

Nudity will carry on in the men's section because it's just not the same thing if someone sexed female, bearing female sexual characteristics does this in tbe men's section. (As well as being pretty unlikely.)

thecatfromjapan · 27/06/2021 15:06

Sorry, so many typos.

I'll bet the Spa resolves this ...

DeRigueurMortis · 27/06/2021 15:12

If you are a person with male genitalia you know, before you get in your car to go to a Spa, before you choose to enter the female facilities, before you take off your clothes and walk around naked that some (if not the vast majority) of women present will absolutely find this embarrassing or traumatic.

You know this. Yet you choose to do it anyway.

It doesn't really matter if legally you have a right to be there or your motivation because those things do not change the fact that this is a calculated and deliberate act not only to ignore those women's boundaries, feelings and well being but actively cause trauma, distress and embarrassment.

We have female only spaces for one reason.

To protect women from men who have no care or regard for women's boundaries, feelings and well being prevent women being caused trauma, distress and embarrassment.

So for those posters saying they'd be ok with this - think about what you're really advocating for.

For the rights of a man whose very actions exemplify the need for female only spaces to invade them.

WoolOfBat · 27/06/2021 15:14

Actually, I think I see a business opportunity here.

We can all chip in for two spa/saunas. And apply for public funding.

All libfems who are happy for people with penises to walk around can hang out in spa A and it would be open for all people who identifies as women. I am looking forward to the masses of libfems who are happy to make this a day out for themselves and their daughters.

As an optional extra, anyone with a penis could have it photographed and put on a forum where volunteers could rate it out of 10. I mean for all of those who really want to be seen.

And with this lovely place open for business, I am sure that nobody would mind another single sex spa, spa B, for all grumpy GC feminists and their daughters, or? We could have a small bar in a corner and anyone up for discussing GC issues whilst our girls (and we) had a lovely time could do so. Thoughts?

PrettyVacancy · 27/06/2021 15:19

If I were to post a photo on this thread of a penis and testicles it would be deleted, so why can a cock and balls be exposed in real life with no consequence in law? So why is no-one protecting the rights of women and girls not to see a naked man when they are undressed and vulnerable? So why is the safety of women and girls being completely disregarded? Like I said, I would probably be banned from this forum if I put up a photo, a bloody photo ...

The problem is that there seems to be no legal way to do that in the US now.

I suppose if it were established as a private event, that might be OK?

PrettyVacancy · 27/06/2021 15:25

I absolutely long for a misogyny free space but there is no-where left is there? Are religious women even allowed to have all women convents now? Or are there hairy arsed males looking like Bernard Breslaw in a Carry On film, parading about the place? Sadly, what used to be seen as comedy isn't funny in real life.

EsmaCannonball · 27/06/2021 15:45

Some women may be uncomfortable being around naked women or being naked in front of other women but it's men who commit the vast majority of violent offences and it's men who commit almost all acts of voyeurism, revenge porn, upskirting, indecent exposure, sexual assault, rape and sexually-motivated murder. These men escalate their crimes. No man gets his cock out in the women's locker room with innocent motivation. Women aren't complaining about this because they are prudish or uncomfortable; women are complaining because they know when to be afraid. They know when a man is getting off on their fear and humiliation. Now we've been completely disempowered for objecting to this because gender ideology has magicked away the crime. ' No, madam, that is a woman with her penis out and it is you who has committed the hate crime.' It's so dystopianly sinister.

For those who are happy sharing spaces with 'trans people', how are you defining trans? Because that umbrella is pretty damn wide now. You don't need to change anything about yourself, and you certainly don't need to have genital surgery.

So what exactly is the difference between trans people and the rest of us, and how do we tell?

Bottom line, I can't see your 'gender identity' but if you're naked in the changing room with me i can sure as shit see your cock and balls.

'Trans
An umbrella term to describe people whose gender is not the same as, or does not sit comfortably with, the sex they were assigned at birth.

Trans people may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms, including (but not limited to) transgender, transsexual, gender-queer (GQ), gender-fluid, non-binary, gender-variant, crossdresser, genderless, agender, nongender, third gender, bi-gender, trans man, trans woman, trans masculine, trans feminine and neutrois'

Thanks Biden.

Sadly it is "the law" in California now. That person with a penis knows it too and was probably very "excited" to hear it.
