Well it's all kicking off at the spa. An amazing woman behind the desk standing up for women and telling a man where to take his penis. I fear she will lose her job over this but it's a glorious way to go.

And come to think of it, the patronising young man probably doesn't say 'He's transgender' - can anyone make out the pronouns, if there are any?

Whatwouldscullydo · 27/06/2021 11:52

Why do some males assume that women are ok to see penises and testicles belonging to strangers? And want our daughters to see it

Its bizarre how many men/males get out of their responsibilities as a father by using the unsuitability of male spaces due to the men and males in them and the mess or whatever. It's a valid excuse not to take the.kids ti swimming or to the toilet when out etc

Yet the very reason they claim in.order to dump the responsibilities onto their female partners, well then they stand stand and defend a male doing that too.

They get the best of both worlds Angry

JustcameoutGC · 27/06/2021 11:53

She is AWESOME. I think we need a GC Avengers. Her and Jess de Wahl are shoe ins.

InsideNumberNine · 27/06/2021 11:57

Well, it looks like the Staniland question has been asked in real life!!

EsmaCannonball · 27/06/2021 12:00

The man at the end is infuriating. A distressed and angry woman is complaining about being the victim of indecent exposure and instead of helping her the staff and that man are disappearing the crime and making her out to be a nasty bigot. I don't think I've ever seen something which so perfectly illustrates the whole transgender problem for women. People are defending the rights of sex offenders. I found myself getting distressed on that woman's behalf that nobody was helping her or listening to her.

SheldonesqueDoesNotBelongHere · 27/06/2021 12:06

And that limp streak saying that a woman going into his section wouldn’t offend him?

Not the point mate.

Come here you tae me. If I were yer maw I’d be affronted at you right now.

Take the shame.

The women telling you what the problem is can take the glory.

PurpleHoodie · 27/06/2021 12:10

I watched the second video 5 times just to see beardy blokey visibly flinch when she said "He has a penis and testicles".

JustcameoutGC · 27/06/2021 12:10

Now, she is what brave and stunning looks like.

nauticant · 27/06/2021 12:13

There's an extended version of the video which has more footage of the intervention of the woke bro who'd spotted a woman in need of a scolding:

andyoldlabour · 27/06/2021 12:17

PronounssheRa

I think it is already covered by law, so I cannot see how these men are getting away with it.

"How is indecent exposure defined under UK law? In the Sexual Offences Act 2003, indecent exposure is outlined as intentionally showing your genitals in a public place in order to cause alarm or distress. Indecent exposure is categorised as a crime of 'specific intent'."

littlbrowndog · 27/06/2021 12:19

I heard on the video the lady said that the man in the changing room was just sitting there

No wonder we saw some women with wet hair and dressing gowns in the lobby one trying to get a refund

I wonder if you could call the police for it being indecent exposure?

SheldonesqueDoesNotBelongHere · 27/06/2021 12:27

My mistake - I thought this was another member of staff complaining to reception.

The fact she is a customer and isn’t being taken seriously?

Dreadful.

Thecatonthemat · 27/06/2021 12:42

Fantastic woman. Don’t be kind, be furious

waltzingparrot · 27/06/2021 12:44

I'd be happy for womens' changing rooms and toilets to be renamed 'Vaginas Only' until this is all sorted out.

Datun · 27/06/2021 12:56

I don't think I've ever seen something which so perfectly illustrates the whole transgender problem for women. People are defending the rights of sex offenders.

Yes. See also rapists in women's prisons.

I should imagine that this woman was under the impression that transgender women were fey, effeminate males, with full genital surgery to relieve their angst.

That's what a lot of people believe when they hear the word transwoman.

The fact that it could be a heterosexual married father of five, without a single alteration to their body, comes as something of a shock.

Obviously, I don't believe that any man, whatever they have done, belongs in a female space.

But there are many who believe, at the very least, certain criteria has to be met. And, lack of a penis, would be right up there.

What would happen if the man in question had an erection? As far as I know, there is no law against women being aroused?

And as this is all about laws, linguistics, and the mangling of both, I imagine an erection could get justified.

EsmaCannonball · 27/06/2021 13:00

The woke-bro saying he wouldn't mind a woman entering the men's locker room wilfully misses the point. If a naked woman was in the men's locker room, she'd be the one who was vulnerable. This is the kind of shit-for-brains who sticks up for men demanding their balls be waxed by non-consenting women.

A man getting his penis out is bad enough but doing it when females are in a state of undress is much worse. Remember the one who was 'gender-fluid' who thought he had the right to shower with the teenage girls' swimming team? Those girls were told they were bigots too.

PurpleHoodie · 27/06/2021 13:02

Imagine paying a good chunk of money to have a day/few hours in a spa, and it gets ruined by selfish males.

I'm glad the other young woman was at the desk demanding her money back. She looked indignant.

Also, it was pointed out that there were underage girls there (I take that as meaning under 18s).

PurpleHoodie · 27/06/2021 13:03

This never happens 🤷‍♀️

IvyTwines2 · 27/06/2021 13:13

On the Twitter thread someone highlights a Tripadvisor review of the Wi Spa from 2018 where a male, apparently heterosexual if his reported words are true, was doing something similar, and is reportedly a regular.

Siblingquandary · 27/06/2021 13:17

This basically encapsulates the problem.

Women saying no forcefully and being told to shut up because a man has more right to be comfortable than they do.

ChakaDakotaRegina · 27/06/2021 13:17

I want to send this to the senior team at Sainsbury’s. This is the reality of what they are pushing on women.

An amazing woman having to stand up to a number of males about the dignity of females and the safety of children in a women’s changing room. Safeguarding being called bigoted. Women demanding their money back. Women being forced out of their own spaces.

Tistheseason17 · 27/06/2021 13:18

I have no issues with transgender women using the female changing room. It does take a long time to get surgery to transition. Neither my female or trans friends feel the need to wave their genitalia around - that is odd in itself. Mind you there were a few women who liked to walk up and start chats at the gym with me whilst naked when I did not even know them and some young females with boob jobs who loved to stand in front of the mirror - these also caused upset to those with body issues.

Without knowing more info, it does sound like a self declaring male who wants to be in a female space, rather than a transgender female.

I'd be interested on the viewpoint of a trans female on this matter.

Harriedharriet · 27/06/2021 13:24

This is one of many Korean spas in LA. This particular one is a family spa. The females (of all ages, very young children right up to the most elderly) go to one side at check in, and the males to another. There is a lovely atmosphere in the female side with everybody bathing/washing each other’s backs, admiring the children, chatting, laughing. All in low voices so as not to disturb those who are after a quieter experience. There are many different pools with different temperatures. Everybody is naked. After bathing and relaxing in the water you dress in shorts and t-shirt provided, and head up to the family floor. There you find saunas, salt room, ice room etc, along with a restaurant, and games like cards or chess. Everyone sits on a heated floor, families cluster, eat, play, doze, use the sauna.
It is a wonderful day, for not very much money. It is hugely important for the Korean community. They are gracious enough to tolerate non Koreans there. It is horrible to target it.
The woman behind the desk is powerless.
Woke bro is an asshole.

Dragonglass · 27/06/2021 13:28

Without knowing more info, it does sound like a self declaring male who wants to be in a female space, rather than a transgender female.

But Stonewall et al are telling us that they are the same and trying to get laws changed based on that.

Send it to the Shareholders' Board members. I think that's the way we have to go with this.

Risk exposure writ large.
