Twitter has taken the baton. Seems people are not happy with being told what to think.

In a way this might actually be a good thing, given that it's exposing how unhinged TRA demands are to a whole new group of people.

testing987654321 · 11/02/2020 23:46

J Prior can't decide whether to be offended at all the transphobia, argue that women don't actually care or say JP is aware of biology and isn't bothered what we say.

I hope JP lives the life they want to, they are male though and women's rights are for women.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 11/02/2020 23:47

And even if you agreed with the demands the framing is worryingly remniscent of some of history's greatest hits in terms of How Not To Run A Party Or A Country.

littlbrowndog · 11/02/2020 23:47

Its a lot of paperwork isn't it ? The mass purging. I imagine . Have you got in extra ladies to do it? #expel me.

Qcng · 11/02/2020 23:48

Huh.
Will they finally get it?
Will they?

When Emily Thornbury was on here, she really did stick to the party line
"Agree there is no conflict of rights. Just agree and stop tslking.".

It was so disappointing.

Now we know RLB and AR are Stonewall bots too.

What does Keir Starmer have to say?
I wonder what he will make of all this.
But... Fuck. He's a bloke.
They rarely get it.

What a mess.

Floisme · 11/02/2020 23:48

I need to go to bed but I can't tear myself away.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 11/02/2020 23:50

Well, either you'll wake up to a whole lot of new people having hit breaking point or you'll wake up to find yourself officially living in a dystopian novel. Could go either way really.

testing987654321 · 11/02/2020 23:50

Thing is it isn't just the members, I would normally vote Labour, but I can't vote for the erasure of women's rights.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 11/02/2020 23:53

What I'm hoping is that this will be the point at which people who've been trying to stay out of this so far go, look, this is fucking ridiculous, can we just stop this now?

How many blokes really believe TWAW?

boatyardblues · 12/02/2020 00:07

Same here.

Qcng · 12/02/2020 00:09

Errol
Of course they don't actually believe it when it affects them (the being tricked into sex thing) so for that reason most blokes would rather TW were shoved in with us women

Men rarely get how that affects us. They rarely give it 2 seconds thought.

ThePurported · 12/02/2020 00:12

theflushedzebra · 12/02/2020 00:17

If anyone dare look, Joss Prior has joined in to "Expelme" to do "A Thread" "1/1" etc.

But of course. Prior couldn't let a no1 trending hashtag go to waste. I would take one for the team and read it - but nah.

This is better - this is a far more worthwhile pov from a natal male human being.

I've enjoyed using this as a good excuse to donate to WPUK and LGB Alliance. Hopefully they'll get a good spike in funding from this!

WomanBornNotWorn · 12/02/2020 00:29

If I dared go public on Twitter ...

"I'm not a Labour Party member, so you can't #expelme.

Med staff do not 'assign gender at birth.'

We are conceived, gestated and born in the sex in which we'll die.

No child was ever born in the wrong body.

Puberty blockers are a fast-track one way trip, not a pause button.

Lesbian and gay people are only attracted to people of their own sex.

Women & girls have the right to penis-free space.

Allowing men & boys to compete against women & girls is unsporting, unfair and unsafe.

These are not my beliefs.

These are facts, upheld by medicine, biology and law."

tobee · 12/02/2020 00:42

Will Labour finally get it? Understand what happened on December 12th? That only focussing on a tiny coterie of woke brainwashed idiots and pleasing some dubious middle aged men is doing them no favours and a disgraceful way to run the opposition? Sadly I won't hold me breath. Hmm

tobee · 12/02/2020 00:46

Or even my breath! Grin

theflushedzebra · 12/02/2020 00:56

Judging by the leadership candidates tweets, and the remarks of the likes of Owen Jones etc - No, labour do not get it. I think they think we just need to have a bit of re-education - you know, like Tatchell says, that girls just need to stop being silly prudes and learn to strip off in front of adult males without embarrassment. And like Helen Webberley says - just give kids all the puberty blocker and sex hormones they want! Then we all chant "TWAW, TMAM, NB people are VALID! Chant it, people! Then everything will be ok Hmm

theflushedzebra · 12/02/2020 00:57

But with a bit of luck, this will cast a bit more sunlight on the whole thing - and that's always good.

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 12/02/2020 01:07

@TimeMarchesOnNeverEnding
Their own bloody mantra is 'for the many, not the few'.

Did you come across the tweet that slightly changed their mantra?

For the men, not for you.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 12/02/2020 01:46

I present the conversation here, and in particular the person responding, without comment as an illustration of where Labour support is apparently to be found at the moment.

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 12/02/2020 02:10

@TheProdigalKittensReturn

A reply to that made me HmmConfused and Grin in equal measures. The last paragraph is pure gold.

If trans people, according to this user, have equal rights and none of these rights are being lost or erased then they are protesting about... what, exactly? Confused

I swear, society (or maybe just the loudmouth gobshites on Twitter) have become much more stupid in the last ten years or so. Idiocracy doesn’t seem like just a film anymore, but a dystopia.

Am I the only one to be really concerned for Humberside police? They are gonna be sooooooooo busy for the coming weeks.
