Dress however you please.
Call yourself whatever you like.
Sleep with any consenting adult who’ll have you.
Live your best life in peace and security.
But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real?

I recall the tantrums from the TRAs last year (?) when she followed some GC feminists on twitter. And her failure to parrot TWAW. She'll know they're going to come for her. Brave woman indeed.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 19/12/2019 13:57

Toys violently ejected from pram along with reality!

Sorry but we're also forcing you off the HP books and they'll from now on be attributed to Anon

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 19/12/2019 13:57

They really don’t know any other way to respond other than insults and threats.

If you've used that all your life to get what you want, it's a shock when it doesn't work.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 19/12/2019 13:58

Good to see.

Now can other people in the public eye please, please stop being pathetic cowards and stand up for reality?

Human beings cannot change sex.

Transwomen are not women. At all. In anyway. Not any of them.

BoreOfWhabylon · 19/12/2019 13:59

Just waiting now for Amazon and Twitter to ban JKR.

It will peak trans the world!

Poota · 19/12/2019 14:00

I should feel bad for laughing at the inadequates having tantrums and declaring that they are going to campaign for someone else to be 'the author' of the Harry Pottter books.

But I don't. So I'm going to carry on.Grin

vaginafetishist · 19/12/2019 14:01

Enfin! This is bold and unambiguous -brava J.K.

WomanBornNotWorn · 19/12/2019 14:01

I still don't say A WORD irl. Too scared. I'd love to have the nerve to tweet that.

nauticant · 19/12/2019 14:02

I've got a theory that Brexit and the election had sucked up a large amount of people's energy and now realists have decided "OK, I don't like it but that's a done deal" and are waking up to see what else is going on and what other issues exist into which to put their energy.

I've noticed this with committed Remainers. People who I thought would be "never surrender" are switching to acceptance and are ready to be engaged with other causes.

FruitcakeOfHate · 19/12/2019 14:02

BRAVO!

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 19/12/2019 14:03

they are going to campaign for someone else to be 'the author' of the Harry Pottter books

Are they talking about rewriting the past to credit someone else, or writing new ones with a ghost writer?

Even with ghost writers the creators still get royalties........

It's madness.

Sexnotgender · 19/12/2019 14:03

I’m having great fun on twitter, soooo many blokes talking nonsense and hoofing their toys out the pram.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 19/12/2019 14:03

One cartoon avatar declared that it had been their dream to accost Rowling and ask her how they (seems to be a transwoman?) would have been accommodated at Hogwarts. Which has for the first time ever made me feel sorry for the world's most successful author, if that's something people have been doing before this.

Iggi999 · 19/12/2019 14:04

I was depressed reading the crazy verdict and this is the first bright thing.

nauticant · 19/12/2019 14:05

There was something I missed off. The timing of the decision in the Maya case could have been much worse had it come last week or over the weekend. As it is, it arrived at a point when sane people had mostly reached their fill of the whole election business and were able to hear about other things.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 19/12/2019 14:05

Well didn't Harry himself use the girls toilet?

myduckiscooked · 19/12/2019 14:06

I think the power of the TRAs is in the wane. This judgement is obviously awful for Maya but it is yet another key aspect of shining a light brightly onto the flaws of trans ideology.

WeirdCatLady · 19/12/2019 14:07

Bloody marvellous.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 19/12/2019 14:07

I've got a theory that Brexit and the election had sucked up a large amount of people's energy

I think you are somewhat spot on in that people have missed what was happening because they couldn't see beyond Brexit.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 19/12/2019 14:08

Also it's not long since Jo Swinson gave the public a nice little glimpse into how incoherent gender ideology is.

RuffleCrow · 19/12/2019 14:10

Has she taken it down yet? It's just i remember the last time.

CatInTheDaytime · 19/12/2019 14:10

Brilliant JK, thank you for coming out in support of Maya.

Lumene · 19/12/2019 14:10

Amanda Abbington has deleted her tweets.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 19/12/2019 14:11

They should petition the publishers.

"We, the undersigned, declare that JK Rowling is CANCELLED for not thinking people should be sacked for expressing opinions that coincide with reality in a way that hurts some people's feelings, therefore we demand that you remove her legal right to the books she wrote and reprint them all with By Anon on the cover. If you don't do it we'll cancel you too"

The Guardian can publish it.
