From The Fail unfortunately maybe someone can find another source but I cant see one atm.

Transgender lobby forces sanitary towel-maker Always to ditch Venus logo from its products

Sanitary towel pad maker now kowtows to transgender activists born female
They removed the feminine Venus symbol from its products after complaints
Butmany of Always’s female customers have responded angrily to the move
Sanitary towels with the new packaging will arrive in the stores by January 2020

There was a thread about this but MNHQ took it down as the reports were unconfirmed.

RJnomore1 · 20/10/2019 09:48

If it’s true they have not been “forced” to do anything - they have chosen to.

QwertySmalls · 20/10/2019 09:49

Ahh, I didnt see the previous thread unfortunately.

I don't understand why transwomen wouldn't be able to identify with a feminine Venus logo, in the same way as any other women.

TwatticusFinch · 20/10/2019 09:50

Well I'm guessing it's confirmed now if it's in the papers.

TwatticusFinch · 20/10/2019 09:51

I don't understand why transwomen wouldn't be able to identify with a feminine Venus logo, in the same way as any other women.

It's the transmen who weren't taking testosterone and therefore still having periods who complained.

ExhaustedGrinch · 20/10/2019 09:52

Always confirm it at the bottom of the article.

I was wondering where the other thread went!

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 20/10/2019 09:52

There was a thread about this but MNHQ took it down as the reports were unconfirmed

Thats very strange

Loads of stuff is unconfirmed

Every fucking MIL or parking thread for a start

ScreamingValenta · 20/10/2019 09:52

Ah, I see - that makes more sense, Twatticus.

BrutusMcDogface · 20/10/2019 09:53

World’s gone fucking insane.

MrsPellegrinoPetrichor · 20/10/2019 09:58

Another one easy to avoid along with Flora.

FFS

MrsSnippyPants · 20/10/2019 09:59

I started the previous thread and have had no email telling me why it was removed. I saw on Twitter (from a source I trust) that P&G had confirmed the letter was real. Perhaps the mods would do me the courtesy of actually telling me why the thread hasn’t been reinstated?
Lots of stuff on this site is ‘unconfirmed’.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 20/10/2019 10:01

It's the transmen who weren't taking testosterone and therefore still having periods who complained

Yes because I imagine that the most triggering part of having a period is not the bleeding or the cramping or having to carry towels/tampons and use them on a very frequent basis

Its the picture on the packet

HandsOffMyRights · 20/10/2019 10:01

They can rebrand as 'Never' because that's how often I'll buy these.

Cretins.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 20/10/2019 10:08

I’ve just heard a radio for Tenna Man. For men. Men men men men men men men.

Won’t someone please think of the trans women?

Always haven’t answered my DM or emails - I just asked if the rumours were true (and asked if they were thinking about doing an I scented version and most women really don’t like it).

Crickets. Dammit I should have signed off ‘Dave’.

HorseWithNoFucksToGive · 20/10/2019 10:09

I'm amazed that I never realised that sign was called a "Venus logo"..

What's the male one called?

...(sits back and waits for amusing, creative replies.)

Lemongrasssugar · 20/10/2019 10:10

I'm beginning to wonder if everything that is obviously for women will soon be targeted for change for trivial reasons.

No one really cares that it has changed but it's the reasons behind the change and how women have been asking for scent less towels and have been ignored.

I work in a nursery and everything is going gender neutral from the baby room up.

We had to throw away our princess dress up and have been told we are not allowed to say good boy or good girl.

We are getting books about trans disguised as childrens books for example we were reading a fairy tale book about a knight and at the end he decided he wants to be a women. All the children were confused, it didn't even make sense in the plot of the book.

All the staff toilets have gone gender neutral which we haven't really noticed yet as only one man works here. But most people have subconsciously started using the disabled toilet as it is a single toilet so I'm guessing that might be the case in other work places also.

We are a Stonewall approved school. But it only seems to be about promoting trans rights.
Disguised as not stereotyping and let kids be kids but that only seems to be if children want to reject typically girly stuff.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 20/10/2019 10:10

Anus? I’m guessing Mars here...

Skyejuly · 20/10/2019 10:10

Ridiculous.

Imonlymoominafterall · 20/10/2019 10:10

Penus presumably.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 20/10/2019 10:13

Should MNHQ reinstate the other thread now? I suppose it's only the Mail though does it have to be on the BBC first?

If Always are now only targetting their product specifically for men then women and girls should stop using them.

Longdistance · 20/10/2019 10:16

I’m bloody furious.
I’ve used Always products from when they first launch.
I’m done Angry

HorseWithNoFucksToGive · 20/10/2019 10:17

You can't google a symbol can you?

Anus! Priceless!
