From Good Morning Britain. Possibly on this morning (it's just appeared on my Youtube recommendations).

Gosh piers is seeming damn sexy now!

Is that bloke (human being in beige) the one from all the memes about assuming gender?

twelvecolourfulbirds · 15/10/2019 19:34

I don't know if India does agree with the "cis" term any more. She seems to be saying to Wokey Blokey that he doesn't need to use that term to describe himself, and calls it "horrible language" (at around 6.6). I suppose India, like everyone else, can evolve on this topic.

India definitely doesn't agree with transwomen in women's sport, and has been very vocal on the topic. India also seemed to be rejecting the notion that men can give birth during some of the argument.

India's stance about having had all the surgery and therefore having the "right' to womanhood is not dissimilar to Rose Of Dawn's.

I will never agree TWAW, but I've got respect for India not taking the easy route in this debate. It would have been very easy for India to be simply brave and stunning and wholly uncritical to further their career.

Can anyone get BB to explain how frost gendered is a thing while two spirit penguin is obviously silly?

AbsintheFriends · 15/10/2019 19:42

Interesting that wokey blokey actually admitted at the end that women will lose out in award ceremonies and 'some sports' (not golf, apparently - though I think that's bullshit) but seemed to be shrugging it off as insignificant.

Come on women. Being compassionate is much more important than winning.

Aaarrgghhh · 15/10/2019 19:43

Wow, I’ll be honest, I seriously dislike a lot of what I have seen of India but they are right here. I’ve always liked piers Morgan. I don’t like a lot of what he says or I imagine I wouldn’t because I don’t listen to him so don’t really know. But I’ve always liked that he says what he wants to say and isn’t afraid to do so. He clearly sees the damage this is doing to women to and that is refreshing to see. I also want to say that India seems to be looking a lot better these days. I haven’t followed anything about them really since big brother.

Aaarrgghhh · 15/10/2019 19:47

What the fuck is frost gendered? If penguin simply can’t be a gender then neither can frost fs.

Coyoacan · 15/10/2019 19:54

Did anyone notice that one of the reasons for India's critical stance is that her career has been affected by nobody wanting to risk transactivist tantrums?

Wokey blaming the patriarchy for any such injustice in music awards (which may now have to be gender neutral, thanks to Sam Smith), whilst simultaneously giving no shits about women. I think Wokey identifies as Owen Jones Gender.

God his poor mother (yes I know dads too but I can only speak as a mum). I’d be mortified if DS said nonsense like that in public.

nettie434 · 15/10/2019 20:02

It’s very catchy

Just plodded home singing the Wokey Blokey, Artesia. Very satisfying as volume of traffic means I can't be heard. Hope it doesn't become an ear worm.

More on that nasty little women hating man, including more on his identifying into a black person to get a conference place. Oh, because no one would ever take advantage of self id

You can tell he's very angry at the beating he took. Penis News has been a new level of nasty today.

Who funds them? The fact they have influence over politicians with their awards is disturbing.

India is 100 % right. This shit has made the world worse for genuine trans people and it's made the world worse for women, and it's posh little odious dicks like BB and LOJ that have got us here.

Bloody Piers is a hero for standing up to the rabid woke hoard.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/10/2019 20:12

I hope wokey blokey watches that and realises he's exactly like Piers's parody of him.

Zero 'compassion' for women, not a lot for real trans women either.
And actually, zero genuine compassion for confused kids who should be supported to be themselves - unique individuals conforming or not conforming to whatever mix of gender stereotypes they wish - without sticking silly labels on them and certainly not blurring the clear fact that there are two sexes.

terfsandwich · 15/10/2019 20:15

Wow I think Indian's views are quite loopy (despite holding a mostly good position on the show).
India wants more gender stereotyping!

zebrasdontwearbras · 15/10/2019 20:16

God is it true that the poll results is to fire him?

I'm really surprised by that! Hijacked by TRAs? Wouldn't be the first time.

I bet ITVs viewing figures will plummet if they do get rid - I mean, people like to watch him I thought - even when (or perhaps because) he's controversial.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 15/10/2019 20:18

It'll be interesting to see what ITV do.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 15/10/2019 20:18

What poll? I’m sure it hasn’t got any leverage.

Michelleoftheresistance · 15/10/2019 20:18

Frost gender is a gender which is very cold and snowy, as I understand it.

As opposed to Freezegender which encompasses other genders as well, or gendergoliath where your gender is so large it's spilling out of your body taking up a lot of space and being awe inspiring. (See: Nonbinary.org list of uncommon genders.)

Two spirit penguin seems perfectly sensible alongside these.

zebrasdontwearbras · 15/10/2019 20:19

Can I just say that I do love India WIlloughby for saying to vile little scrote Benjamin B "I don't need you standing up for me" Grin

Yes, I think he is the guy who took a BAME place at a conference - and when challenged (because he's clearly white) he said his stepmother is BAME Shock No wonder he believes in self ID !!

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 15/10/2019 20:19

Perhaps we could develop a compassionate sports category just for women. One example could involve a long distance race to see how compassionate and caring you can be be per mile or something. Winner is actually the loser because if you cared you'd have lost, because you were spending so much time being compassionate you wouldn't have thought about winning at all. Does this make sense? I like it myself.

Just found the twitter poll.

Currently 60% go.

RuffleCrow · 15/10/2019 20:22

Well done Piers and India. I don't like either of them much or agree with them on most things but they got this right.

2Rebecca · 15/10/2019 20:23

Julia HB regularly has him on her drive to work Talk Radio show as a remain voice in her 1 brexiter 1 remainer sidekick act. He regular has me shouting at the radio with his self righteousness

zebrasdontwearbras · 15/10/2019 20:24

Lots of abuse towards him centre on the terms "boomer" and "gammon" - honestly - will people never learn?

(Isn't all this "gammon" namecalling stuff what got people to dig their heels and vote leave??)

ErrolTheDragon · 15/10/2019 20:25

Perhaps we could develop a compassionate sports category just for women.

Ooh, we could have a 'helping lame dogs over stiles' race. Cross country event, woman paired with lame dog with a size and weight matched to theirs.

I'm pretty sure this idea is more sensible than made-up 'genders'.
