From Good Morning Britain. Possibly on this morning (it's just appeared on my Youtube recommendations).

OP posts:
ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 16/10/2019 09:18

'But oh what can you do when he's such a prat?' (Sung to the tune of 'Dressed in Black')

A certain doctor isn't happy with India. Only someone like Harrop could watch a transwoman talk about how hard transitioning was, and how hard this current nonsense is making things for her, and tell her she has immense privilege.

Ah, now we know the truth of it.

India is ...TRANSPHOBIC! Grin

India Willoughby v Woke Bloke

I wonder if more tw will have standoffs with woke blokes? Here's a recent article in which the writer who ids as a tw is called a transphobe.

They also say: 'A fact of reality is that I was born a boy. Even now, post-hormone replacement therapy, I have masculine traits that will never go away. When I die, if far off into the future I'm dug up, my bones will have archeologists pegging me as male, not female.'

I didn't know that Owen Jones had a twin that wears glasses! That is the smuggest human being I have ever seen.

When you're making India Willoughby look calm and reasonable and Piers Morgan look humble and un-smug in comparison it's time to consider whether you're doing your own cause more harm than good.

IfIShouldFallFromGraceWithGod · 16/10/2019 09:25

He has similar, annoying, facial mannerisms to Shon Faye

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/10/2019 09:30

And India's headdesk moment at the end had me ready to pass over a flask of whisky. Smug little gits being insufferable, they're the one thing that can unite even people who normally agree on nothing.

WomaninBoots · 16/10/2019 09:52

3 male people debate gender. 2 female people sit quietly next to them.

ALittleBitofVitriol · 16/10/2019 10:02

Well, I hope India enjoyed the genuine woman experience - being mansplained at about your own life

Cringy wokey fuckwits make me feel so old and tired.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/10/2019 10:08

I think everyone other than Woke Yoof was having a cranky middle aged moment during that clip.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 16/10/2019 10:31

This this this!

Because they know what happens to Women Who Speak.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 16/10/2019 10:35

Please let's not fall over ourselves loving India though? India wants men and women nicely separated into masculine and feminine so India can say India is the latter. India doesn't want toys or clothes or anything else to be neutral because then how is India speshul?

India is the opposite of a feminist.

RoyalCorgi · 16/10/2019 10:43

I couldn't face watching the whole thing - did anyone bring up the time Butterworth identified as black? Because that, more than anything else, would have exposed the idiocy and indeed bad faith of his position.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/10/2019 10:47

India is still wrong about almost everything. It's a tribute to the special awfulness of the young bloke's brand of Professionally Woke Activist that he's managing to make India look so reasonable in comparison.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 16/10/2019 10:48

Yep.

Welcome to the future, women.

A prison sentence for you if you complain.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 16/10/2019 10:50

New gen of gobshites. Every gem thinks that they are the pinnacle of insight and specialness. Until they aren’t and the new gen dismiss them as stupid and redundant.

Schadenfreude - is that the spelling?

Datun · 16/10/2019 11:25

Wow I think Indian's views are quite loopy (despite holding a mostly good position on the show).
India wants more gender stereotyping!

Exactly. Sexist stereotyping is entirely necessary for India's 'identity'. India has generally portrayed themselves as your salt of the Earth, feet on the ground transwoman. Open to debate, not precious.

The non-binary lot is anathema to India's version of shoot from the hip tru trans.

It's not a difficult position to grasp, either. Many men, particularly those like Piers, will absolutely give India a pass, based on the fact that they've cut everything off. Piers will absolutely think that should be given honorary woman status. Because, let's face it, if men go to great effort, there is nothing they cannot be awarded. And the disadvantage to women Isn't recognised.

It's only recognised when it's beating you over the head with a blunt instrument, like sport.

I do hope, actually, that India comes out with a far more gender critical stance. But, for me, it would have to include the acknowledgement that sex segregation is based on sex - no matter how much effort you've gone to.

And was it just me, or did Piers look quite shocked at the amount of pushback he's had on Twitter? Because, I can guarantee, it's absolutely nothing compare to what women are getting.

ErrolTheDragon · 16/10/2019 11:31

Maybe Piers didn't realise that there are people who - apparently - take an arbitrary list of 100 'genders' seriously? Confused

Does anyone have a link to this sacrosanct list?

(Personally, I'm not sure if the correct number is 0 or infinity.)

DuMondeB · 16/10/2019 11:32

I’m surprised at how insightful that was.

The stupid prick talking over India about what life is like for trans people was just eye boggling. It absolutely illustrated how current gender ideology is throwing transsexuals (deliberate choice of word) under the bus.

So glad Piers brought up the stuff about men and women’s categories - the people who lose out in the move towards gender neutral everything are the cunty ones. The ones that campaigned and fundraised for our own services, facilities and competitions. The gender neutral steam roller is going to flatten us all. Should take about 40 years to get everything back to where we were a decade ago.

Same shit, same sexism, different outfit (possibly heels and lipstick).

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/10/2019 11:34

Piers has surely had quite a bit of controversy over the years, so it's interesting that the level of vitriol this time seems to have taken him by surprise. Not sure if that's because he assumed that since everything he's saying is perfectly reasonable few could object or because he'd bought into the idea that trans = vulnerable and is now getting a whole lot of aggression of the sort that does rather make one question just how vulnerable the people sending one death threats are.

Aaarrgghhh · 16/10/2019 11:35

Okay, putting all the shit India has done in the past aside, she’s being called transphobic now.. I’m sorry, this is so fucking funny and I don’t care if I sound rude now. How can someone who is trans and as trans as India is, be transphobic? Is she terrified of herself 😂

IfIShouldFallFromGraceWithGod · 16/10/2019 11:35

I can't stand India who needs stereotypes in order to reinforce how they are actually a woman but the idiot sat next to India isn't interested in the views of an older person. For them it is a youth movement. If one of their peer group identified as a 2 spirit penguin it would be valid

Datun · 16/10/2019 11:38

And yes, it said it wasn't lost on me that the three male born individuals dominated the entire discussion. And no one thought that was weird, at all. They're all stone deaf to the privilege klaxon.

And on another note, I did used to wonder exactly why TRAs were pushing the non-binary narrative so hard. It holds even less water than transgenderism.

Why didn't Piers ask who invented all the genders, in the first place? And then use one utterly ridiculous one as an example of how daft it all is. Surely that would have shut the bloke up instantly.

ErrolTheDragon · 16/10/2019 11:38

How can someone who is trans and as trans as India is, be transphobic?

India could talk to Miranda Yardley about that risk. Tangentially, I'm somewhat curious as to what the former's stance is on puberty blockers, surgery for young people etc.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 16/10/2019 11:38

Everyone and everything is transphobic! Ice cream, puppies, sunshine, rain, toast, marbles...

Apparently the only non transphobic thing in the universe is smug gits who like talking down to people.
