Wow I think Indian's views are quite loopy (despite holding a mostly good position on the show).
India wants more gender stereotyping!
Exactly. Sexist stereotyping is entirely necessary for India's 'identity'. India has generally portrayed themselves as your salt of the Earth, feet on the ground transwoman. Open to debate, not precious.
The non-binary lot is anathema to India's version of shoot from the hip tru trans.
It's not a difficult position to grasp, either. Many men, particularly those like Piers, will absolutely give India a pass, based on the fact that they've cut everything off. Piers will absolutely think that should be given honorary woman status. Because, let's face it, if men go to great effort, there is nothing they cannot be awarded. And the disadvantage to women Isn't recognised.
It's only recognised when it's beating you over the head with a blunt instrument, like sport.
I do hope, actually, that India comes out with a far more gender critical stance. But, for me, it would have to include the acknowledgement that sex segregation is based on sex - no matter how much effort you've gone to.
And was it just me, or did Piers look quite shocked at the amount of pushback he's had on Twitter? Because, I can guarantee, it's absolutely nothing compare to what women are getting.
