Bloody disgrace!

Girls and women really are second class citizens even now in a supposed liberal and enlightened country.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 14/09/2019 20:49

Great headline telling it exactly how it is. So pleased that these toxic guidelines have been leaked. Parents need to know what will be happening to children if the EHRC have their way.

yulet · 14/09/2019 20:51

"This document is a draft." Why are all their "drafts" so shit? Are they drawn up by idiots?

David fucking Isaac. I have been banging on about this bloke for months. Please can somebody from the Times (James Kirkup?) investigate how this person got this role.

terryleather · 14/09/2019 20:57

Anything that exposes the anti-female stance inherent in capitulating to the demands of the trans lobbyists is to be hugely welcomed.

Wurzelsnewhead · 14/09/2019 21:03

Ridiculous. I’ll be offering my support and time to the Safe Schools Alliance, not prepared to see this get any further than the draft stage.

Toastedstrudel · 14/09/2019 21:06

What about females who identify as male? It’s always about women and girls accepting men and boys into their spaces.
The comments on the article are encouraging, I hope more people are getting the message.

Ereshkigal · 14/09/2019 21:06

Appalling. What can we do to challenge this?

truthisarevolutionaryact · 14/09/2019 21:15

I'm not sure what we can do to challenge it. The DfE, the civil service and evidently the government have been policy captured by the men determined to remove the rights of women to have private sex segregated spaces - children are merely the next target for this predatory behaviour.

It includes those who are “simply exploring their gender identity” Shock. So the boys can descend en masse on the girls loos / changing rooms and simply smirk “We were just curious, Miss. Thought we might try on being a girl today”.
That fucker should be behind bars for everyone’s safety Angry

Wurzelsnewhead · 14/09/2019 21:16

What about the girls who are being molested at home, who thinks of their psychological health when they go to school and are told any male can identify as female and share all spaces with them? This absolute disregard for girls shows the patriarchy at its worst and the gains made by feminism to be meaningless.
If allowed to go ahead this policy will lead to in increase in girls self excluding from schools at best or an increase in suicides. It seems no one gives a shiny shit about traumatised girls and their need for spaces away from the male gaze. Schools should be asked to provide safe unisex changing rooms for transgender kids of both sexes, not demand girls acquiesce to what maybe passing phases for other children.

" Girls who are uncomfortable with the presence of a transgender girl are advised to use a private changing room"

can all the girls go in there?

HumberElla · 14/09/2019 21:21

Sexual assaults against girls in schools, colleges and in HE are increasing. This is known and widely acknowledged with reported assaults only the tip of the iceberg.
I can’t believe this is seen as even remotely acceptable.

JoyceJeffries · 14/09/2019 21:21

It’s important that girls learn from the earliest age that penis owners are more important. And we can thank our whole political class (every single fucking political party) for foisting this horse shit on us. This is a top down policy that is unbelievably unpopular.

HeadintheiClouds · 14/09/2019 21:21

Also; “teachers are warned they would break the law if they failed to call transgender pupils by their new names and pronouns”
That can’t be true, surely to Christ??

Girls who are uncomfortable with the presence of a transgender girl are advised to use a private changing room

So bloody impractical and ridiculous. I remember a story of a US school with this policy where one girl protested, and so got her private changing room (the janitors cupboard or similar Hmm ) and within a week or so, one by one, all the girls made the same request, until practicality dictated that the girls and transgirl "swapped" changing rooms. WHic of course is what should have happened in the first place. Why do trans rights trump girls' right to privacy?

YobaOljazUwaque · 14/09/2019 21:29

I'll never forget the time a male friend, when we were both in our early 20s, said that the reason he and his friends didn't do as well as they might have in GCSEs was that they spent pretty much every waking moment of their mid teens trying to figure out schemes to get into the girls changing rooms.

What a good idea to enshrine in law to make it easy peasy to do. No need to transition, just describe yourself as gender fluid and you can be one of the lads 90% of the time except on Wednesday afternoons for sports lessons.

This really isn't about the tiny number of pupils with gender dysphoria. There are far far more straight "cis" males who will take advantage of these guidelines than there are dysphoric kids who might benefit from them.

zebrasdontwearbras · 14/09/2019 21:29

“teachers are warned they would break the law if they failed to call transgender pupils by their new names and pronouns”

It's not. The TRAs want us to believe that it is law, and to make it law.

They're desperately trying to twist current discrimination laws and the Equality Act to make it sound like it is law - but it isn't.

twelvecolourfulbirds · 14/09/2019 21:31

Isn’t it amazing the sway you can have as a group of rich, white men

Not hard when a rich, white man is made Chair of the EHRC.

Interesting timing re the proposed release of this paper - when everyone will be freaking out about Brexit and looking the other way.

JoyceJeffries · 14/09/2019 21:32

We have a national crisis in recruiting teachers - this is going to put even more people of from applying. 🤦‍♀️
