Girls have rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child that include privacy, safety and that oblige the state to protect them from abuse as well as support them to recover from abuse.
The new EHRC guidelines would violate these and a number of other articles of the UNCRC. They also conflict with the protected characteristic of sex under the Equality Act. This is not conjecture, an assumption or idle guesswork, these are the facts.
Anyone who supports these guidelines as two posters on this thread did, is supporting the abuse of children and of female children in particular.
But a teacher also pointed out to me recently, that such guidelines are also in conflict with learning outcomes in Scotland. Part of those involve helping children to distinguish fact from opinion, presenting a balanced view on any given issue, to learn to listen to and accept that others may have opposing views etc.
How any teacher is supposed to achieve that while indoctrinating children in transgender ideology and penalizing children who reject, object or even question claims made in relation to this ideology while themselves facing disciplinary action for disagreeing even with the harmful aspects of this ideology, is anyone's guess.
