Have reported upwards of a dozen of them to Twitter, for all the good it will do.

Twitter will do nothing, but it's shocking when you first realize how widespread in the open it all is isn't it.

Why is this tolerated?

It's the end goal of breaking down safeguarding, that's why.

2BthatUnnoticed · 06/08/2019 15:29

Roses I have to go but please answer my question as bolded by barelove above.

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/08/2019 15:30

I just did

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 06/08/2019 15:31

peadophiles are everywhere, it's a problem for everyone, left and right of politics. Which is why dismantling of safeguarding is happening all over the world, and happening fast.

99% of the public can be against it, but it won't matter.

2BthatUnnoticed · 06/08/2019 15:31

Sorry Roses - I meant specifically, what are your concerns? The erection guy, drag kids dancing at pride, fetish men talking to young girls - what? What concerns you?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 06/08/2019 15:32

what? What concerns you?

Presumably it's the rest of us judging them that's cause most concern to roses?

JackyHolyoake · 06/08/2019 15:33

It's the repeated saying things as fact when it turns out when questioned it's actually a might be that's the problem.

So, what are all these different incidences of stating 'things' as fact which you claim turn out to be "might be". Please can you explain in more detail? Perhaps list them?

In this thread, there has been only one error related to the fetish float which was mistakenly identified as an MAP float, to the best of my recollection.

Even then, no-one here was able to confirm whether any paedophiles were or were not associated with that float or indeed were walking in the parade. And, as I said, absence of evidence does not equate with evidence of absence.

On the balance of probabilities we concluded that paedophiles are very likely among the parade walkers.

Wishihad · 06/08/2019 15:35

Why did they say to ‘get out of pride’?

Why did they say get out of pride to people who have a fetish and are acting it out using the general public, including children to get their sexual kicks?

Is that what you mean?

So you think fetishes should be grouped in to gay community and that children should be encouraged to interact with people while they are engaging in fetish play?

2BthatUnnoticed · 06/08/2019 15:36

Blackberry, Gasp thanks for adding those comments - it’s a morale boost and yes - maps are a real worry. Heading off now - solidarity again to the 13 💜💚

DickKerrLadies · 06/08/2019 15:38

It's the repeated saying things as fact when it turns out when questioned it's actually a might be that's the problem.

Yes it is a problem! There's a lot of things that don't stand up to scrutiny when questioned.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/08/2019 15:41

I've seen accounts like this before and reported a few, but it's like the many-headed Hydra, they just keep coming back. Twitter clearly making no serious effort at all to deal with this.

Every single account I looked at was riddled with anime and other images clearly designed to attract the very young and very naive. Clickbait. Some of them specifically said their DMs were open for discussions about mutual attractions. Envy

They're all linked, too, constantly retweeting each others' stuff, so every time I reported one I noticed it was linking through to half a dozen more I could have reported. I had to stop in the end as it was getting me down.

The fact that this phenomenon exists seems to be something far more worthy of outrage than someone posting a fact they believed to be true but which turns out to be a mistake. I'd have expected LGB activists to be working tirelessly to condemn and keep clear of paedophile apologists/lobbyists. Nothing more likely to undo the good work of the last 50 years than an association between same-sex attraction and paedophilia.

sanluca · 06/08/2019 15:41

I still can't get over the fact that lesbians at Pride got called homophobic bigots by a large group of men for stating they were same sex attracted women.

And that people will actually defend the group of men.

Whatever your opinion on transwomen and self id doesn't that make you 'eh what?'

Just like with waxmyballs dude, what is about trans that everything has to be accepted and trans has to be protected over everything else? Yes, including safegaurding of children.

LangCleg · 06/08/2019 15:44

peadophiles are everywhere, it's a problem for everyone, left and right of politics. Which is why dismantling of safeguarding is happening all over the world, and happening fast

'Fraid so. Depending on the study, anything from 2% to 5% of men. The Home Office's most conservative estimate is that at least 80,000 men in the UK are actively participating in obtaining and distributing child abuse images online and that a similar number pose a danger to actual children online. The most conservative.

Every community contains paedophiles. That includes, but is not limited to, the LGBTQWERTY community and Pride attendees. That is why we have safeguarding in this country and why every adult, every organisation and every institution has a statutory obligation to it.

Minimising or deflecting or reacting with anger to those pointing out loopholes or failures or possible infiltration is a massive red flag.

RosesAndRaindrops · 06/08/2019 15:45

I agree, but it's on this thread where LGBT people are being lumped in with them, so what's the difference?
I see you took the T out there, it's LGBT and transpeople seem to be being associated this time around, it seems like history repeating itself

MinnieTheSphinx · 06/08/2019 15:45

It wasn't just men. The women there didn't have any time for them either.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 06/08/2019 15:48

Having RTWT I can only salute Early, Roses and Minnie for keeping this thread going so long and for repeatedly illustrating the double think and misogyny that lies behind trans ideology. I don't expect that was the result you were looking for, but it's been a gift to gender critical posters.

Regarding opposition to transgenderism, it is perfectly possible to vehemently oppose an ideology without hating individuals. I loathe the Catholic church but I have two Catholic SILs whom I love dearly.

what is about trans that everything has to be accepted and trans has to be protected over everything else? Yes, including safeguarding of children.

Someone here offered an explanation some weeks ago:

that the drive is to eliminate the voices and actions of women because it is us who will fight to protect our children from the sexual behaviours of men. We are the barrier to those men having the access to children and young people.

It is an interesting theory and one that perhaps should not be dismissed.

I suspect there are other reasons ... for example, it is us women who are most likely to erect barriers to men wanting to express themselves sexually in any way, in any place, at any time, with whomever they choose.

As has been said before, this is a men's sexual rights movement and these men seem to want to function in a completely unlimited way.

2BthatUnnoticed · 06/08/2019 15:51

roses I feel like a broken record and I’m supposed to be back working but I am genuinely curious. What specifically (like, an example) concerns you re child safeguarding in this context?

Can you think of an example which you felt uncomfortable about? Out of all that’s mentioned previously?

It’s not a trick question, genuinely interested.

DickKerrLadies · 06/08/2019 15:54

It wasn't just men. The women there didn't have any time for them either.

It's awful. It's 2019 and it's homophobic to be a lesbian.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 06/08/2019 16:02

Yes, I did that as a conscious decision because it's only very recent that T has been in with the LGB and back in the days when lesbians and gay men were trying to get equal rights there was a false equivalence made between men attracted to men and men attracted to little boys.

Dr Em's invaluable articles on queer theory explain how the founders set out all sorts of boundaries that should be broken down, including the age of consent and the taboo around incest. They want people to be able to self-identify as anything they like and the self-chosen identity is far more important than boring old reality.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 06/08/2019 16:07

it seems like history repeating itself

It is, back in the day PIE tried the same thing, back then the LGB community turned on them and distanced themselves....

This days though doing that is wrong....

TheChampagneGalop · 06/08/2019 16:10

Have there been any mentions in the media about this incident?

JackyHolyoake · 06/08/2019 16:10

And, if you want to understand more about the behaviours of predatory men, this man is an expert: Jon K. Uhler, MS, LPC.

He is well worth reading.
