Yes, I know that I should not waste my time with a site like Jezebel. I saw this post a few days ago and skipped over it as total nonsense. Today I saw it trending on their front page:

jezebel.com/the-unholy-alliance-of-trans-exclusionary-radical-femin-1834120309

This must be deliberate right?

I'd like to see more proof. So far it consists of Posie Parker talking to the Heritage Foundation. Any shadow of a link between feminists and the right seems to be in America.

CaptSkippy · 11/05/2019 18:02

I mean that they deliberately make shit like this up. There is no link between radical feminism and the alt-right. They could not be further apart.

This is just pure desperation as Insults never make anyone change their minds. But their arguments are so pathetic that insults is all they have.

Quite sad really.

AlwaysComingHome · 11/05/2019 18:31

Ok losing track of who’s supposed to be funding me, the Alt-Right or ISIS. Either way the money isn’t showing up in my account. I think the Zionists might owe me too.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 11/05/2019 18:31

Harvey Jeni is having a pop at Posie for being right wing on Twatter. twitter.com/GappyTales/status/1127137302004883457?s=19

GammonNosher · 11/05/2019 18:40

If I found out there was a link between my misgivings about the trans, and those of the far right I reckon I'd end up reconsidering the whole thing, so on that basis it must be made up.

Ereshkigal · 11/05/2019 18:56

That article is even more awful than all the other articles written by "feminists" about the gender critical resistance movement.

Erythronium · 11/05/2019 18:57

Wow, there's a lot of quoting radical feminists directly in the article, repeating their arguments word for word. Is Esther sure that's a good idea? People might find themselves agreeing.

Also fuck you Esther for brushing aside rapes and assaults of women as "isolated incidents". All rapes and sexual assaults are isolated incidents, happening to individual women, until we start talking about them and analysing them, then all of a sudden a pattern appears- systemic male violence - including that of MTF trans. Esther obviously has a level of rape that' she deems acceptable, when the right level is zero.

Ereshkigal · 11/05/2019 18:57

And the comments are an absolute disgrace. Openly threatening violence.

OldCrone · 11/05/2019 19:17

It's quite a who's who of feminism. Lots of names I know, some I'm less familiar with so might now seek out. Thanks, Esther.

One question for the author, though. What is a woman?

EmpressLesbianInChair · 11/05/2019 19:18

k losing track of who’s supposed to be funding me, the Alt-Right or ISIS.

I heard it was the Kremlin.

TemporaryPermanent · 11/05/2019 19:29

I don't think it's nonsense but I disagree. I also wonder, where is the analysis? What is feminism? what is a woman? Why is there indeed a bit of common ground between a right wing view of sex roles, and a feminist analysis of sex? Instead it's an extensive 'this happened and then this happened' larded with unanalysed subjectivity. I also like the quotes though.

FermatsTheorem · 11/05/2019 19:37

k losing track of who’s supposed to be funding me, the Alt-Right or ISIS.

Corbyn was photographed with a woman carrying an "adult human female" bag, so I'm just waiting for my pay cheque from Momentum. It is in the post, isn't it, Jezza?

AlwaysComingHome · 11/05/2019 19:39

I heard it was the Kremlin.

Big Pharma and the Bilderberg group too.

And that bunch of lizards that Prince Philip heads up.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 11/05/2019 19:53

I heard it was the Kremlin. Big Pharma and the Bilderberg group too. And that bunch of lizards that Prince Philip heads up.

Then why do we still have crowdfunders?????

FermatsTheorem · 11/05/2019 19:54

To pay for the lizard food, of course, Empress. Durr....

EmpressLesbianInChair · 11/05/2019 19:56
Grin
Goosefoot · 11/05/2019 20:01

I also wonder, where is the analysis?

People don't know how to do analysis anymore. They don't know what it means.

The whole thing is no surprise, they label anyone who says something they disagree with ,who doesn't seem to be a religious conservative, as "alt-right".

CaptSkippy · 12/05/2019 09:10

There are times when radical feminist have some common ground with conservatives regarding porn and prostitution. However the reasons are never the same. Feminists want freedom from exploitation and objectification. Conservatives just want to punish women because they can't see us as people.

OP posts:
GammonNosher · 12/05/2019 09:13

Imagine not being able to see a vulnerable group as people and having that form a core of your ideology. Thanks for putting the differences between us and them into perspective.

Ereshkigal · 12/05/2019 11:48

LOL

Pretty sure we all see trans people as people here. You've been listening to the "you don't want me to exist because you don't believe I'm a lady" hyperbole, haven't you?

Ereshkigal · 12/05/2019 11:49

"Deny my existence, expect resistance"

Oh we know they exist, all right.

Ereshkigal · 12/05/2019 11:51

Imagine thinking that second rate trolling of a feminist board is a worthwhile way to spend ones time. Those Jezebel commenters, eh! What are they like?

CaptSkippy · 12/05/2019 12:19

Gender is the Patriarchal tool of oppression. The very last thing any feminist should want is having it enshrined in law.
But it has been for a very long time. Paris still has a law that prohibts women from wearing trousers in public. We still laugh about this, but the direction we are heading in is that just could be enforced just to validated men's ideas of what we are.

OP posts:
GammonNosher · 12/05/2019 15:28

Ereshkigal, dear, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. It's the far right I was referring to. I was drawing a specific distinction between us and them and I mistakenly thought that would be obvious since we're not bigots. I'll try to be clearer for you in future.
