A wonderful breakfast thread to ensure all the good women of fwr start the day right with substance and not just dross. I’ve already failed and partaken in consuming shite but it might not be too late for lots of you!

I like making egg free pancakes by substituting the eggs fro mashed bananas- works a treat.

And we'll all be desperate for a bit of WBH come a no deal Brexit. (And I don't even like bananas).

Or if you CBA to find out what exactly a 'Dutch baby' is, just make a big Yorkshire pud. We used to have them with golden syrup but apple sauce would be nice too.

Absolutely Errol, it's the same thing - and Yorkshire Pudding with golden syrup is delish.

I'd top my apple baby off with a drizzle of toffee sauce over the ice cream too.

Ooh Yorkshire pudding with golden syrup. My gran used to give us that.
I had a cream tea with golden syrup instead of jam in Devizes. They called it Thunder and Lightning.

Now I like the taste of banana but not the consistency. Same with pears.

I love that the alarm bell signal in FWR is a recipe thread.

It's so delightfully understated and classy. We're like Miss Marple - the quietly unnoticed and therefore dismissed woman in the background who conceals the sharpest wit in the room.

! After digging around some other recipes, I’ve found the desired missing ingredient I needed. I have to say it’s glorious.

Yorkshire pudding and syrup? What sorcery is this?

I make a quite décent banana and vanille cake. Happy to share the recipe (on account of it not being mine anyway).

Once you try it MotherForkin you will wonder why you've waited so long and it's really easy.

I favour dripping for the fat, sunflower oil can jog on in this instance.

I made a pudding the other day

Halved hot cross buns, marmalade spread on them, put slanty in an oven dish and fresh custard poured over and baked in the oven

I lovingly tore the top of the angel delight packet open, emptied the contents into a glass bowl with some cold milk, whisked it up and put scoops of it carefully into bowls where my family consumed it a speed that would make onlookers get indigestion.

I am the next Mary Berry.

Freezing unripe bananas also makes them suitable for recipes like banana bread.
My DH likes a Weetabix spread with butter but is too healthy to eat them anymore.
Pancake batter can make other delish puddings too. I made one with tinned pears and chunks of plain chocolate that you bake in the oven and it was nice.

Oh Rufus I wish I was sitting down to eat that delicious sounding custardy & bun loveliness right now...

I had a ryvita with lemon curd the other day...lush

I'm not a fan of Angel Delight either tbh, hated it as a child and have never dared touch it since - it promised so much and always disappointed.
