Banana pancakes

A wonderful breakfast thread to ensure all the good women of fwr start the day right with substance and not just dross. I’ve already failed and partaken in consuming shite but it might not be too late for lots of you!

I like making egg free pancakes by substituting the eggs fro mashed bananas- works a treat.

OK so what's the recepie for the egg free pancakes?looked through the thread but can't find it. I'm not understanding how this works at all...

I can’t eat wheat OR bananas. So no weetabkx either.

What can I eat for breakfast while still identifying as gender free ?

I don't know about egg free, but my banana pancake recipe is
1 mashed banana
1 egg
1 cup self raising flour
0.5 cup milk
0.5 cup plain yoghurt
1 tsp baking powder

Mix them all together. Dollop onto a frying pan and flip when the top starts bubbling. Lovely with salty butter.

Bananas are evil stringy devil fruit and are only good in banana cake.

I'm having coffee with cream and debating putting a shot of whisky in, as it's my first day off after many late shifts.

Krispy while I think bananas in any form are rank so therefore there's no defending them how can banana pancakes be omelettes?

There's no eggs.

Have I missed the point of the interesting and funny post and now look like the uneducated heathen i am?

Blueblueyellow I’ll add mine when I can. You tend to replace eggs with them, I add extra raising agent for fluffy pancakes- American style oat ones are my fav

But aren't they lumpy? LUMPY!!?

I've never made American style ones but this thread has got me thinking I should try banana ones. Any tips for how thick to pour the mixture into the pan and how to know when to flip them?

Blue depends on how well mashed the banana is! We like that there is evidence of actual bananas

Mashed banana sandwiches are the absolute best.

Closely followed by giant chocolate buttons inserted into a banana that is then cooked in foil for 10 minutes.

All this banana talk over the last few days has forced me out of lurking

I use buttermilk so I guess they're American? Or possibly genderfree Canandian as we have them with maple syrup and blueberries.

Sometimes I'll let DS have banana and Nutella instead but he has to have said at least 3 feminist supporting things first

I wish I wasn’t allergic to bananas.

Banana milkshake made with fresh bananas and vanilla ice cream is delicious.

I probably could have one I’m not crazy allergic, I’d just vomit and feel dreadful afterwards.

Have we exhausted banana pancake recipes? Cos I've just discovered a bag of wizened apples that got put away with the potatoes for some reason and now I need to do something other than muffins with them.

I am so fecking freezing today I am seriously considering WBH. I fear the end times are approaching.

Stew your wizened apples with some orange juice and a bit of brown sugar & ginger.

Serve it as an accompaniment to a Dutch Baby ,a giant puffy pancake/batter type dessert from America, along with scoops of ice cream
