I’d like to think her successor will be less homophobic. We shall see, although I’m not holding out much hope.

I felt initial delight, but now have a sinking feeling that yes, this could well get worse before it gets better.

What is worrying is where she is going next. Typically these CEO's move from one org to another. It may turn out to be good news for Stonewall (dependant on new appointee) but she might be starting afresh 'queering' a whole new sector.

Linda Riley could not in a billion years be the public face of anything.

They've been grooming Maria Larasi for a while - John Bercow's gaff and everything - she added kudos to their 'we've asked the women's sector - and can confidently say that dicks in refuges do not and can not cause any problems for women' spiel just by being in the photos.. maybe it will be her?

It will be a white, straight male (AKA trans lesbian) who was privately educated and went on to a typically solid middle class career trajectory and then transitioned late in life.

It will be noticeable that up until transitioning the said individual was never involved in LGB rights or showed any interest in feminism. Which will seem odd as they will claim they’ve always been a lesbian 🤷‍♀️

At the moment she's got a host of 'trans' people thanking her for all she's done. Maybe she can focus on that and not the deafening silence from lesbians singing her praises for all she did for them.
