I don't know if Peter Tatchell actually knew if Julie had been no-platformed when he agreed to speak.

I doubt Peter knew that Julie had been no-platformed when he accepted the gig. But Julie let him know of her no-platforming as soon as it happened, and asked him to speak up. Many others have asked him the same - me included. Peter has so far not said a word in defence of Julie, or given his view of her no-platforming.
