Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Confused

Hi, I'm new to all the current debates around feminism and feminism itself and have lurked a lot and posted a little.
I'm confused over a conversation I had with a colleague last week discussing self ID and the concerns women are raising. Is it possible to be a feminist and have no issue with all inclusive toilets and changing rooms and to believe that trans women are women? I didn't think so but like I said, I'm new to the subject and realise the answers are probably in other posts somewhere but couldn't find a title to match my question.
I am very uncomfortable with all inclusive toilets and have been following GRA discussions.
Can you be a feminist and support the GRA?

what info are you looking for catlady?

not sure what you are looking for

I don't need anything now, it has been cleared up so thanks everybody!!

I am really pleased that there is not a loophole which gives penis owning "women" the ability to commit rape without the threat of being prosecuted for it.

@NothingOnTheTellyAgain
As we have just discussed rape being committed by penis-owners, all 6 of those rapes were not committed by women at all. Were they?

Barracker · 22/09/2018 21:46

I've just looked at some UK rape stats that I can share with you:

This is from calendar year 2015
rapes (and attempted) by a 'female': prosecuted 13/ convicted 6
rapes(and attempted) by 'unknown': prosecuted 59/ convicted 3
totals 72 / 9
the rest were logged as male perps: 3611/1249

I can't prove that some of these were not women who enabled a man to rape (inchoate offences)

But in all likelihood I would say they are mostly 'female penis' rapes

I am late to the debate here and I can see things have moved on a lot. I don't want to derail but I just wanted to say I agree with Truthmytruth

"It is my opinion that dogs are cats. In my head I’m validated. But the world knows my opinion is wrong. But it’s my opinion. I have a right to say it. We are entitled to believe what we want. We are not entitled to demand others believe us. In my opinion."

This is the crux but if you switch out 'opinion' for 'belief' you are even closer to the truth that this is s philosophy, yet lived with the deal of a religion.

Truthmytruth also says "And that’s how they get are kids. They label them when they are questioning. We, as adults see through it. Our young kids/adults are gaslighted. In my opinion."

And that is one scary aspect of this current philosophy not yet touched on greatly on this thread yet, the huge numbers of natal girls who may go on to mutilate their bodies due to their 'belief' they should have been borm boys!

This is truly a nightmare scenario encouraged by trans activists who see 'our kids' as 'their kids' if they are gender non-confirming

Italiangreyhound · 23/09/2018 10:01

truthmytruthyou said your child is trans.

Could I ask roughly how old they are, please?

What you say and do? Could you pm me, please? My friend's daughter is presenting as trans and is 13.

Just trying to understand.
