Because they stuck their necks out in support of Aimee, saying publicly that they knew about the charges, directly contradicting the official GP statement.

Now Aimee's resigned.

And put Green Party Women in the line of fire instead. The investigation will be looking at them now because they opened their big fat gobs when there was absolutely no need.

I hope Aimee is getting the support they need & I also worry about a young trans identified male in the Labour Party who might find themselves out of their depth quite soon. Political parties have a lot to answer for.

Agree Thingybob. My mind shies away from the childhood Aimee has had, and they are articulate, strong and good at networking. They'd no doubt spit on my concern but i hope one day they find a way to heal from the past.

So mumsnet members are leaving the Green Party because they have dropped Women's Rights in favour of Trans Rights. Meanwhile, trans-folk are leaving the Green Party because they consider them to be transphobic? Seems the Green Party can't keep anyone happy.

Isn't Lily in a relationship with a young woman? If so Lily could have gotten married even before gay marriage was legal. Does Lily think they refuse you the marriage license if you show up in matching pink hoodies?

I believe Lily is not legally a woman yet - Lily would have to marry as a man by law- being born male and not having a GRC. Thus it would be a dull straightforward heterosexual marriage with a woman, and thus no fun at all, and not remotely special.

You see, self ID is not actually law yet, despite numerous organisations, political parties, councils etc acting as though it is.

The people who come out of this worst, apart obviously from the actual criminal, are the Greens. At the same Spring 18 conference Aimee #Challenor (with Molly Arthurs, NB, and Teresa Ravenshaw, trans) put forward motions to remove the word 'female' from Green Party constitution, turning mechanisms created to tackle sexism into trans promoting mechanisms

And at same Spring 18 conference the words 'women and girls' were removed from text about female genital mutilation and changed to 'a person maybe subject to FGM', to hide the fact that this is crime that happens to women and girls because of our SEX.
