I'm not one for posting threads on here but I feel this is quite a sad position for this person and shows how hard it is to maintain a professional stance on this when you are receiving threats and abuse at the levels that are currently happening on the Internet, in no way am I saying this is gender critical people. But this debate as now got to such a level that it is starting to cost people there livelihoods on both sides of this so called debate.

However, I sincerely doubt that Gregor has been getting the type of abuse - let's face it from men - that a trans woman would get. I mean, come on.

Gregor didn't read the thread carefully enough to see that the person with dodgy spelling ("there an ideot") is, in fact, Gregor's only supporter on the entire thread.

Gregor needs to read more carefully and not alienate Gregor's few friends. Bespin (Gregor's only friend and the person who wrote "there an ideot") is very pro-trans and started the thread to defend Gregor. It seems that Bespin wasn't aware of the foul abuse Gregor originally tweeted that got Gregor into this mess in the first place, however.

This person’s behaviour is a disgrace to their party and to their city. Everyone will be relieved that they have resigned.

What we have here is an example of the biggest problem TRAs have.

The biggest plank of their argument is they are the most oppressed evar (tm) because of all the death threats and evil women being evil to them.

And The Very Best Example the TRAs can come up with is this nasty specimen who is demonstrably, publicly, deeply abusive, misogynistic and self-regarding.

It is a completely self-defeating methodology.

Oh, and bespin, while still understanding your frustration and wish to have this all over and done with, even you must surely be tentatively approaching the realization that these people are not your allies?

I've name changed for this - penguin bollards, Mexican house thief, etc but I know Gregor personally. We have huge differences in politics but I think this thread is making them out to be something they are not.

Gregor spends hours and hours of their personal time every week/month/year genuinely helping people. Much more than I do.

Feel free to disagree with what Gregor says, they quite clearly stated they regrets their reactions and language and that the come back from this is having an impact on their health. It's quite difficult watching you all rip someone to bits who does so much for others as well.
