It is a solidarity technique. It is consciousness raising. What women here are doing is checking in with each other. By repeating it, they are saying to each other, do you agree with this?

The volume of posts, with lots of different posters agreeing, is very important. It is important for women to see that LOTS of other women think the same. It tells us we are not alone.

The vagina is an organ. You are born with one. At this time it is not physically possible to transplant a vagina into a male-bodied person.

Therefore a surgically created approximation of a vagina can never and will never be a vagina, because a surgeon cannot "create" an organ. It will be an orifice rather than an organ. It will not be connected to a cervix. It will not form part of a woman's reproductive system including womb, ovaries and fallopian tubes. The ph will be incorrect. It will not self clean. It will not self-lubricate with vaginal discharge and mucus - note that the lubricating properties of a piece of colon are not the same as vaginal fluids. It will never be used for its full purpose - which is to facilitate the birth of a child.

Call it what you want. But it's not a vagina. You know it. We know it.
