A woman is an adult female human

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 10:18

Of the sex whose reproductive role is to gestate and bear young.

Let's just say this while we still can. Because it's true, and however many people try to make us lie about it, or remain silent, it will always be true.

In times of universal deceit, speaking the truth is a revolutionary act.

It hurts MY feelings to see 'transwomen are women'. It damages MY mental health to see that, it makes ME feel erased and MY identity feel destroyed. I have a voice and I deserve that voice. WE deserve it.

I am Spartacus. A woman is an adult female human. Sex is binary, immutable and defined by reproductive role.

If you report me, or get me banned you shoot the messenger. Because this is true and will always be true. And this day, this day of a lie, I WILL say it.

#Spartacus

Since anyone, including tramsactivists are allowed to report posts, as well as people on Twitter, who aren't even members, it's no surprise to anyone that that post was reported in order to remove the evidence of the offence.

Fortunately, the resulting commentary illuminates the problem.

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 22:27

Because it would look truly terrible

Maybe all the quotes will be deleted too. That would be rather unfair.

Snappity relies on becoming so offensive that they will eventually be deleted, having upset umpteen women. And all record of their offence will be eradicated. *

And yet again ...surely more than 3 strikes?Confused

pombear · 03/07/2018 22:36

Snappity

*Since the thread is about biology, it is apt to compare a trans woman vagina with that of a woman who has had an hysterectomy. Biologically both are blind canals8

Oh, was just about to say something else in response to your statement above. But it seems to have disappeared.

Not sure how I can comment when it's disappeared. Never mind, just popping it back on here, in case anyone wondered what you'd said.

LurkingBee · 03/07/2018 22:36

"Since the thread is about biology, it is apt to compare a trans woman vagina with that of a woman who has had an hysterectomy. Biologically both are blind canals."

Is that it Snappity?

That's your argument for TWAW?

Along with trying to make fake fannys smell like real ones?

Is that all you have to convince us?

I do hope that Penny Mordaunt's minions are writing all this down for her to justify her fatuous comment that "trans women are women".

"Consultation Exercise" my sweet smelling arse Penny Mordaunt.

Cantquitebelievewhatitscometo · 03/07/2018 22:36

If a transwoman, God forbid, has a heart attack, do they want emergency first responses, prior to full bloods etc, to treat them according to protocol for a woman or a man? Genuinely curious.

Ereshkigal · 03/07/2018 22:36

The lie starts with Penny Mordaunt saying transwomen are women.

It's essential to unpick that lie, before you can even start on anything else.

This this this.

pombear · 03/07/2018 22:37

Bugger, my 'bolds' didn't work. Oh well, I'll have to post again.

Ereshkigal · 03/07/2018 22:37

It was fatuous, that's the perfect word, Lurkingbee.

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 03/07/2018 22:38

Pratchet the tone and content of the threads hasn't really changed since the thread was started this morning and MNHQ were putting warning posts up then but not now. IF MNHQ have indeed changed their minds it would be helpful to know.

Trying to keep tabs on what is and isn't deemed correct/acceptable,civil is like trying to put a pair of tights on a wildcat.

Errol will go back and trawl for it. I've been on here all bloody day and am getting brain numb and eye sore with it!

Blind canal?????

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 03/07/2018 22:38

Sorry pom you had a bold fail so i thought i would help

thebewilderness · 03/07/2018 22:38

Since the thread is about biology, it is apt to compare a trans woman vagina with that of a woman who has had an hysterectomy. Biologically both are blind canals

It is an odd comparison, that of the vagina, which is an organ, with the skin of an inverted penis lining a cavity created after the organ was removed. Not apt at all.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 03/07/2018 22:39

Oh shit

Just to clarify snappity said this

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 03/07/2018 22:39

snappity said....

This!!!

Finally!!

Dragoncake · 03/07/2018 22:41

Has anyone provided a definition of 'woman' that includes transwomen yet?

A blind canal? Shock

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 22:41

This could result in mass deletions. Please, we can't lose anyone.

It was so low to say that. I took a screenshot of the quotes.

OP posts:
Ereshkigal · 03/07/2018 22:41

Venice - is the city of blind canals

The Leeds Liverpool blind canal is a popular boating destination

Blind Canal Street is the centre of Manchester's gay village

Bespin · 03/07/2018 22:41

It's. Clearly a strange comparison to make and one I would not like to make, I'd have to agree with thebewilderness it's been a funny day like that

ErrolTheDragon · 03/07/2018 22:41

Rufus being inimitably helpful. bless.Smile

thebewilderness · 03/07/2018 22:42

Maybe all the quotes will be deleted too. That would be rather unfair.

I think they like us all on one thread because it is easier to delete us all at once.

AngryAttackKittens · 03/07/2018 22:42

Since Kate has already told us that this is the last Spartacus-type thread we'll be allowed better make any points you wanted to make here, eh?

I think they're hoping that the thread will fill up so they can then say, well, we told you that you could have that one last thread, now STFU.

pombear · 03/07/2018 22:43

Is this the debate you wanted MNHQ to make sure we weren't just stating facts?

As, though I was a bit concerned about the direction of travel, it's flushed out some interesting stuff.

And to get back to Pratchet's original post - a woman is an adult female. Who never need 'training' on how to be a woman, particularly in the vaginal area, and will never be reduced to a 'blind canal' regardless of medical issues.

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 22:43

Agree Wich.
Also upvote for 'fatuous'. Perfect word.

Given that appalling comment I thought it might be useful to draw attention back to this excellent thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3289055-Some-interesting-facts-about-the-vagina

Surgery simply cannot replicate it's natural wonder and complexity.
