A woman is an adult female human

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 10:18

Of the sex whose reproductive role is to gestate and bear young.

Let's just say this while we still can. Because it's true, and however many people try to make us lie about it, or remain silent, it will always be true.

In times of universal deceit, speaking the truth is a revolutionary act.

It hurts MY feelings to see 'transwomen are women'. It damages MY mental health to see that, it makes ME feel erased and MY identity feel destroyed. I have a voice and I deserve that voice. WE deserve it.

I am Spartacus. A woman is an adult female human. Sex is binary, immutable and defined by reproductive role.

If you report me, or get me banned you shoot the messenger. Because this is true and will always be true. And this day, this day of a lie, I WILL say it.

#Spartacus

Quote from the show

'Meredith: Could you mean vagina? Because if you do, I want that covered.
Dwight Schrute: I thought your vagina was removed during your hysterectomy.
Meredith: A uterus is different from a vagina. I still have a vagina.'

Datun · 03/07/2018 22:09

I'm not talking crazy here, it's common sense.

You are, and no it's not, unless you are changing the definition.

KataraJean · 03/07/2018 22:10

Oh, and society will still see the woman with a hysterectomy as female!
Sorry should not have reacted to that one.

MrsRRR · 03/07/2018 22:10

As a woman looking at possibly undergoing a hysterectomy soon I find your post so ignorant, so offensive, so basically flawed that I dont know where to start....

"A blind canal"!???

Jesus suffering fuck.....

ReluctantCamper · 03/07/2018 22:12

oh yeah, I'm sitting on my hands not to report snappity's post

Flowers for readers who have had a hysterectomy

with every offensive, tone deaf, post with zero empathy for women the trans activists reveal who they really are

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 22:13

Thank you Secretly. It's not me it's the women here, all the women, it's you, it's all of us. My own thanks go out to the women who opened my eyes, Datun, Cote, Beach, Prawn, way back when. Plus others who are banned now. I'll probably be banned in the end. It's a relay. I'm determined to be part of it.

This isn't inflammatory....it's heartbreaking.

Snappity, however, is inflammatory. Those comments are a disgrace.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 03/07/2018 22:13

reluctant

Same here Grin

Having said that there is NO way this thread isn't being monitored by MNHQ at the moment

ReluctantCamper · 03/07/2018 22:15

I literally got as far as clicking on that piece of written excrement

and then i thought 'no, let them tell us who they are'

Voice0fReason · 03/07/2018 22:16

But when the whole point of the thread is to get posters to say the same words over and over, that's inflammatory
I really have to take issue with this. Posters are repeating the same thing over and over because it's being ignored. We keep getting told that it's not true. If only one person says it then it looks like only one person thinks it. I think it's important to see just how strongly people feel about this.

I am not anti-trans. I am not transphobic. I want everyone to be free to express themselves however they are comfortable and not face any discrimination or mistreatment. There is no place for bullying or abuse.

Women are adult females.
Transwomen are transwomen.
They are not the same thing and should not have the same treatment.

What I am not seeing from the TRAs is their willingness to follow any rules of civil discussion.

R0wantrees · 03/07/2018 22:16

MrsRRR
Unfortunately the appropriation of women's experience is often apprpriated by TRAs. Its been done on both the BBC Victoria Derbyshire show by Rebecca Root and by Monroe Bergdorf on Channel 4's Genderquake debate.

The 'argument' goes something along the lines of after a woman has had a hysterectomy she is woman in the same way as a male born trans woman who has never had a uterus, overies, cervix, vagina.

It is offensive.

There are a number of women on this site (& no doubt elsewhere) keen to address this,

pombear · 03/07/2018 22:16

Since the thread is about biology, it is apt to compare a trans woman vagina with that of a woman who has had an hysterectomy. Biologically both are blind canals

This is awesomely jaw-droppingly amazing. Thanks Snappity - you're like the gift that keeps on giving.

I'm definitely not a 'thread-policer' but, seeing as this is incredibly inflammatory. and an attempt to 'weaponise' the experience of women who have had hysterectomies in to attempt to coopt their experience to that of 'transwomen'.

I'd advise, stay calm posters, and shine a light on this. Don't report - just shine the light.

MrsRRR · 03/07/2018 22:16

Yeah...

Think a ban is coming my way too.

It's a shame. I've been in mn under various nn's for about 12 years.

Oh well.

LurkingBee · 03/07/2018 22:17

Speechless (almost) at the ignorance shown here.

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 22:17

Well done to those not reporting. Awful post from Snappity. Beneath us all.

OP posts:
TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 03/07/2018 22:20

a

blind

canal.

Just when you thought they had revealed their innermost narc.

This is what they think of us. Just holes.

butsecretly · 03/07/2018 22:20

@Pratchet relay baton accepted. This thread has given me language to start my own conversations in real life, I will find someone who hasn't thought overly about the implications of self Id to talk to and to join in on the relay, it's too important not to.

Beachcomber · 03/07/2018 22:22

Flowers for this thread Pratchet.

Datun · 03/07/2018 22:22

Snappity has every right to post. And I, for one, maintain that their posts should never be deleted.

Snappity relies on becoming so offensive that they will eventually be deleted, having upset umpteen women. And all record of their offence will be eradicated.

Snappity should be given every opportunity to exercise their motivation. For everyone to see. Forever.

WichBitchHarpyTerfThatsMe · 03/07/2018 22:23

Do not report, Do not report and Do not report. These postings need to be available for people to read.

I've asked earlier but I'll ask again - does anyone have any theories about why MNHQ haven't commented further on this thread after the 3 posts in quite quick succession earlier today?

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 22:25

Interesting question. The feminists haven't posted anything reportable and the only offensive materiaI is not being reported by us?

Or a change of shift?

OP posts:
TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 03/07/2018 22:25

already deleted. Did anyone get a screenshot?

LangCleg · 03/07/2018 22:26

with every offensive, tone deaf, post with zero empathy for women the trans activists reveal who they really are

Katemumsnet - remind us again who is inflammatory and who is making Mumsnet into a hostile environment?

Pratchet · 03/07/2018 22:26

My favourite theory is Justine phoning in and saying this

A woman is an adult female human
OP posts:
ErrolTheDragon · 03/07/2018 22:27

I posted my theory way upthread, wich. No idea if I'm vaguely right or not.
