How will we know if we have lost good women?

I fear we will lose some of our strongest most vibrant voices, torn down by the current wordspeak policies..... Can we keep a record here of those we lose? I do NOT want to forget them.

I thought it was so telling that the GC would have happily kept all language (even the abhorrent Cis and Terf) ... while the trans-allies wanted to curtail as much speech as they possibly could....

To all strong GC voices - Please DO NOT leave us - your voice counts for more here than on any other forum.... Mumsnet is watched by the world and will be responsible for our keeping women and girls safe .... even if you have to clip your wings a little to get your message across, please hang on in here ... Please don't go. You have made this middle aged woman embrace feminism all over again. I was struggling with the whole trans thing and you have provided me with so much clear information. I've been here for over 10 years, a couple of name changes, but very little posting. This whole debate has led me to add the odd post and I read as many as I can. I'm so.sad and angry that we are still abused by some men.

bewilderness that is strange - they were so clear they would let posters know if they deleted any so we can see if we are one or two or three strikes down..... perhaps the system isn't working yet...

I nearly flounced a while back, but was persuaded to stick around and I'm glad I did. I just cut back on my MN habit, which is no bad thing really.

I don't tend to go into the Bluestocking much because I am on here at odd times and find it hard to keep up with general meandering threads, but I'll try to remember to pop in for the occasional (or a pint on Fridays )

One of the oddest things about MN is that they communicate with the person who reported but say nothing to the reported person. I did not know I had comments deleted.

Kate did say they would be emailing us with deletions from now on. We'll see if that happens.

And this is why I predicted that pretty much anyone whose nym you'd recognize will be gone due to banning within a week. Although I may have overestimated how long it will take, and those nyms you'd recognize due to their controlling behavior and tendency to call women bigots will most likely still be here.

Please don't all disappear. I used to be quite an active participant in these discussions under a different name, but RL stuff changed things for me in a really big way and I had to step away. I'm still not really able to articulate and post what I'd really like to contribute, but I read most days and it's such a fantastic resource. You are all brilliant.

If I've had any nobody has contacted me to say so.

Maybe the bannings will happen tomorrow morning for the sake of efficiency.

For those who are leaving/being obliterated.

Many of us have have lurked, read all perspectives, started to come out from the shadows of lurking.

If you go, we'll keep on talking in our different way until we're also deleted.

And hopefully, the next tranche who've lurked, read all perspectives, and decided they also agree with those who are for female rights and don't want to see them eroded will then take up the baton.

Meanwhile, many of us will be off having conversations and doing stuff in the real world, off social media, like you are too.

It spreads due to the ripple effect.

I thank you, so many of you, who were having this conversation here, for so long when many of us weren't fully aware of what was happening.

You know who you are. You may even be lurking here now, as even when you're 'banned' you can still see the conversation.

Thank you for your persistence. Thank you for your care for women (females) before many of us were here.

It's a relay and those trying to shut the conversation down have vastly underestimated how many women are waiting in the wings ready to take the baton when needed.

We need to stay if we can. Mumsnet is important. This feminism board has helped so many women. But we also should post elsewhere, in case we do lose this space.

I'm out of MN. At least for the time being.

I'm going to focus on positive campaigning.
