What if we fail?

I find myself worrying about where we will be 2, 5, 10, 20 years from now if we fail to stop the tide that, just now, with the GRA reforms, threatens to redefine the meaning of the word woman, erase lesbians and damage a generation of children.

I'm not saying we should give up: anything but. In fact, I think it might be an important motivating factor to consider what else might happen if our MPs continue to enshrine lies into laws.

What will come next?

"The original record is still kept. So legally forever a male female. "

Read by law! By s9(ii) of GRA it is read as female

Picassospaintbrush · 07/06/2018 00:13

Read? Well yes read, but not observed, nor a fact, not a reality, unless you are going to stick it on your forehead no-one will notice.

But we have always been able to spot men trying to pass as women.

Visually, of course. And there's sound and voice, too - unmistakable.

And then, there's smell/odour. Smell is a very important sense, too.

Indeed, but not inclined to nuzzle too close to suspect cases!!

It's interesting that TRAs keep pushing this idea that there are many people whose sex you'd never know if they didn't tell you. It seems to be one of those planks that their argument rests on because even they realize that arguing that visibly and obviously male people should be allowed into female spaces at will is going to go down like a fart in a lift with the general public.

They cannot even pass adequately enough on a no-picture, word-based format!

Male entitlement, something that is NOT removed at 'transition'.

Same as the reason they pretend that 'trans' actually means transsexual. Rather than pretty much anyone who says they are. Many people have sympathy with transsexuals, and a lot of women would be fine with post op transsexual women in the womens areas (not all women, but a lot). The entire thing rests on the public thinking that trans means post op transsexual. Also TRAs can use the 'but transwomen have been in womens areas for ever!' as an argument..but this doesn't really work either as if transwomen already use womens areas, why the push to widen this to literally any male who wants in? However, the public are beginning to find out quite how wide 'trans' is, and that it does not actually mean what they think it does, and it seems men are just as pissed off as women when members of the opposite sex intrude on their areas. Transactivists plans are fucking up tbh, because they wanted to get this passed before anyone really noticed.

This whole 'only 4000 people have GRcs, its not working thing' is really annoying me now. When it was brought out it was estimated it would help 5000 people. Well, surely its working as intended so why the need to change?

The lie that people can always tell the difference between cis and trans is exposed on places like twitter where cis trans-allies are constantly abused and accused of being trans...

Not always no, and especially not on photos. But in real life, male people are obvious in general. Regardless of what they are wearing.

thebewilderness · 07/06/2018 20:21

Transgender advocate have posted dozens of photoshopped pictures on tumblr proving conclusively that no one can tell the difference between a man and a woman. How can you doubt them?
