What if we fail?

I find myself worrying about where we will be 2, 5, 10, 20 years from now if we fail to stop the tide that, just now, with the GRA reforms, threatens to redefine the meaning of the word woman, erase lesbians and damage a generation of children.

I'm not saying we should give up: anything but. In fact, I think it might be an important motivating factor to consider what else might happen if our MPs continue to enshrine lies into laws.

What will come next?

We are not going to fail.

MIdgebabe · 03/06/2018 20:29

Fail? 5 people tried to peak trans me after seeing the gender quake telly

Women will no longer bother with sport at an elite level and women's competitions will vanish. Sponsorship for women's sport will go as the public dislikes watching people with Y chromosomes beating women and doesn't view people who win these competitions as role models.

I really believe common sense and the bonkersness of much of it means this won't happen. Most people know and believe that woman means adult human female. Only a small minority chant the mantras.

Thanks for all your views!

Mostly I noticed the determination to carry on, however difficult the circumstances may become.

We will not be silenced.

Back to Handmaids tale.

There will officially be 0.6% more women in the world
Is that the plan, WAKME?
That transitioning males will fill the void created by the cultures that abort and murder females?
I do not think it will work the way you want it to.

PurpleCrowbar · 03/06/2018 22:01

But screw our courage to the sticking point...Wink.

I don't think we are going to fail. But if we do, we keep on buggering on, right?

Terfulike · 03/06/2018 22:04

Too right!

SarahCarer · 03/06/2018 22:07

Erm...a lot more girls are transitioning than boys so if you accept the premise that transition affects numbers wouldn't it be in the other direction?

spontaneousgiventime · 03/06/2018 22:09

We won't fail - we can't!

TERFragetteCity · 03/06/2018 22:11

Male tomboy with girls's brain - can't remember if they are supposed to be good at maths or not. Bad memory - that's a girl thing right?

Terfulike · 03/06/2018 22:12

Sarah that's a major issue as stated in op.
Transgender trend is being targeted and it's so important to help them fight thear corner. Schools and teachers are a big part of kids lives and this has coincided with their publications into schools efforts.

Worst case scenario: 'gender fluidity' becomes normal. Men temporarily 'change gender' to access women's sports, prisons, refuges etc. Women also do it to get more social respect, but they find certain avenues closed to them, like primogeniture. Anyone who doesn't want to be seen as gender fluid has to exaggerate their femininity or masculinity. The options for people who identify as women get narrower and narrower, at least the 'cis' ones. There's no such thing as a young girl who likes football and isn't into pretty dresses - she's a 'non-binary child' now. Maybe she'll go on to have surgery, or maybe wanting surgery will be frowned on as 'truscum'.

Eventually there will be a backlash. A massive backlash. I hope it'll come from feminists, but it might not.

Terfulike · 03/06/2018 22:15

Well said spontaneous

SarahCarer · 03/06/2018 22:17

I agree terfulike. My comment was about the 0.6% stat alone really.

UpstartCrow · 03/06/2018 22:19

Its my belief that there will be a right wing/authoritarian backlash, and that feminists will be caught up in it as they hate us as well as gender non conforming people.

Gileswithachainsaw · 03/06/2018 22:21

I agree everything will appear not to have changed as words have lost their meaning and there will be no way to know who's talking about what.

But then we will have years of law suits And a bunch of sterile adults suffering from god knows what issues through these drugs.

Hopefully people will learn from our mistakes and it won't happen again

NotTerfNorCis · 03/06/2018 22:23

We've already seen the rise of the 'alt right'. The left should start fighting poverty and inequality rather than miring itself in all this identity bollocks.

SarahCarer · 03/06/2018 22:24

Upstart you may have something there

Terfulike · 03/06/2018 22:27

Not terf
The worry with surgeries is that certain groups are being encouraged eg rapid onset teen girls, whilst other groups - notably middle aged men - are avoiding it.

Those same middle aged men probably have shares in the companies doing surgery on the teen girls and genuine transexuals. There are several sources I've seen who know the details re. the fortunes to be made from the trans revolution, but the pattern seems to be that some groups within the trans umbrella are being prepared for commercial exploitation by others under the trans umbrella.

Particularly worrying is the company heavily invested in 3D printed organs. The opportunities are vast and I worry that's where we are headed.

OP posts:
spontaneousgiventime · 03/06/2018 22:33

You can bet your boots, when something like the trans cult appear there is something behind it that is not benign. Money is a powerful incentive to forget about people. Maybe not in my lifetime but sometime in the future the truth will out. A lot of this is for us, fighting in the dark with one arm tied behind our back.

2rebecca · 03/06/2018 22:40

Agree it seems bizarre that so many middle aged men who want to be "lesbians" keep their lady penis and get upset at the idea their dysmorphia should encompass the most masculine part of them but are keen to encourage teenagers to take hormones and become sterile so they can look more like the other sex whilst having reduced sexual functioning.
People turning in to Ken and Barbie with plastic non-functioning genitals.

LangCleg · 03/06/2018 22:42

Also mine.

spontaneousgiventime · 03/06/2018 22:43

2rebecca That's a damn good question. Why are middle aged men transitioning but staying intact, yet they want youngsters under the knife.

Picassospaintbrush · 03/06/2018 22:45

Eventually there will be a backlash. A massive backlash. I hope it'll come from feminists, but it might not.

This is the backlash. You are living it.
