This trans forum has a long thread on Mumsnet. Seems they are actively lobbying companies to pull out advertising on Mn on the grounds of Mn allowing/supporting/encouraging hate and transphobia. After having a quck look, the Angels site seems to spout it’s on views on “terfs” which sound pretty hateful, possibly even misogynistic. I know both sides if the debate can go over the top and get pretty nasty - but, am i wrong to find many pisters there completely hypocritical in targetting Mn for the kind of comments and rhetoric similar to which they are accusing Mn of, not only accusing but trying to damage the site with haranguing the sites advertisers to pull out.

I think the worst thing you can do with a narcissist is take them in good faith and assume they're playing by the rules. Trying to fathom their behaviour outside the framework of power, control, narcissistic supply and narcissistic injury is a waste of time.

Me too. More than twice but I am a stubborn old woman so I say what I think and my comment is reported and deleted. So be it.

I've no idea what actually went down here as I've not been around much due to rl, but these past few weeks when I have been reading and trying to keep up I've taken to ignoring that person's endless autobiographical posts and all the fawning and validation surrounding them. Completely agree with everything Lang has said here. I'm glad it's out there now. for Sweary though.

I’m not entirely sure any body of published reputable research would agree with her assertion that women are as violent as men.

One would hope that someone discharging a firearm in her home would have been investigated? She implies the incident was at home.

Well to be fair if I had a pet shot at my home (outside or within home) I’d be very worried by that. I assume it was followed up?
Unfortunately if it was shot at on the street or when outside then it is much more likely to be unconnected. There was a spate of attacks on pets in our town a few years ago - turned out to be some particularly unpleasant youths with air rifles.
