I'm glad for the guilty verdict, but I am slowly losing faith in our justice system, if it can punish a victim for committing perjury, and similarly punish her for refusing to commit perjury.

It is not going to help anyone's cause to make clearly false and derogatory allegations against a living person

Which is technically true, but to someone not familiar with court stuff, makes it sound like there wasn't also a guilty verdict!

SarahAr - the judge directed Maria to use pronouns in a way Maria does not find truthful. People are simply pointing out the conflict between that and swearing an oath to tell the full truth you see it while on the witness stand. No more, no less.

The reason Gender Identity Watch is referred to as a doxxing website by transgender advocates is because the owner of the site once reported the death and rape threats they were receiving to the school where the IP was located and to the police. This resulted in people finding out who was making the threats.

When I use 'he' I am truthfully reflecting my perception of the subject's biological sex.

Do I see males as women? Truthfully - never.

If I am compelled to refer to a male using 'she', I am compelled to lie.

The judge compelled Maria to lie (imply she perceives the defendant as female by forced use of female pronouns) as surely as if she had been compelled to misrepresent any other objective characteristic she observed about her assailant.

Very disconcerting that a victim in court would be forced to lie about the sex of the offender, which is not just an exercise of dominance; it also makes it harder to give plausible testimony, as part of your brain has to be devoted to self-censorship.

As a matter of courtesy, Maria shouldn't have been referred to as a 'terf'.

I am surprised Maria's representative in court didn't challenge the use of the word 'terf'. And Wolf is a 'model'? Hmm.

Odd that they use the terms the male perp prefers but Maria identifying as Gender Critical is disregarded, repeatedly calling her a Radical Feminist.

I'm curious why Maria was not fined for contempt of court. Could it be because belief is still a protected characteristic? It is reasonable to have a belief that a person with a penis is male, especially if you have grown up being taught that belief by the whole of society.

Interesting that the judge accepted that Wolf’s tweet advocating violence was made out of “bravado”, yet took exception to Maria’s tweet about Wolf’s appearance.

Maybe Maria is considered to be made of tougher stuff than Wolf

Or maybe men's egos about their hairlines are thought to be more fragile than women's faces and heads under a physical assault.

Interesting indeed, when his original post was asking WHERE and when he could go to enact the 'bravado' that apparently wasn't bravado at all, since he actually did what he said he would.
