Ah... Grin

Why is there literally no place in the world that has things right :(

Someone suggested that JK probably liked the original tweet because she read it as being anti-Corbyn.
I must admit I didn't think she'd put her head above the parapet on trans issues.

DrRadfem has been banned from Twitter! The rotten bastards.

I would like trans activists to realise that "well, actually, I have been attacked BY A WOMAN so all your comments about male violence are invalid" is a bullshit straw man.

Nobody denies that violent women exist. Nobody is trying to deny that your pain and trauma is real. Nobody is asking you not to talk about your pain and trauma.

But male violence is a demonstrable thing, incomparable in scale to female violence. To note that one of these things exists on a scale many times that of the other is not to say the other doesn't exist at all.

< sigh >

I am a woman. I don’t feel like I am a specific gender. Does that make me trans then? Who knew?

Yes it does.

I do not have a 'gender identity' at all as I reckon 'gender' is a load of society imposed stereotypical bollocks and I have a mix of masculine and feminine interests (as does, I think, everyone)

This makes me a-gender

Which is trans.

Its all daft really. Everything would be so much easier if trans actually was just shorthand for transsexual, like so many think it is. I have a lot of sympathy for transsexual people, 'transgender' not so much. Especially given 'transgender' includes fetishists and the likes..and now seemingly literally any man who simply says 'I am a woman'. Like fuck am I rolling over and allowing people like that into female areas. I never had any issue at all with genuine transsexual people using them, but it kind of seems like womens willingness to look the other way has lead to this ridiculous state of affairs today where ordinary men are saying they are women and its transphobic to say 'no, you are a man' Hmm

@vicxy

Same. I'm a non-identifying non-binary person, does that count? Does that give me the right to an opinion about gender or are cis people banned from this debate? Trans is now a subculture. It's like me saying 'I'm a Goth, so you must call me midnight and respect my vampiric powers or else you've committed actual violence against me and I might have to kill myself.' Entitled much? The backlash will put real transexual and intersex people at risk when the right wing backlash kicks in and they've got jobs in banks and stopped wearing lipstick like most people do when they grow up. God I feel old!
