Me!

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 22/01/2018 10:38

Me!

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 22/01/2018 10:39

I'm coming from afar but hoping for half an hour in a pub after. Then the long dark journey home.

SonicBoomBoom · 22/01/2018 11:39

Me!

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/01/2018 11:42

Do you think it'll be reasonably central? I'm almost tempted to come through from Glasgow...

BetsyM00 · 22/01/2018 14:02

Yes, that's my Valentine's Day excursion from the highlands sorted for DH and me. He'll love it I'm sure. Grin

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 22/01/2018 14:19

If it isn't central I would share a taxi. Edinburgh is smaller than Glasgow at least!

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 22/01/2018 14:43

I'm in Edinburgh so I'm going. On my own though, I don't think I know anyone who would want to go!

Candog · 22/01/2018 14:50

I'm thinking of taking some teenage girls with me. Anyone else taking DCs?

Nineteenagain · 22/01/2018 15:24

I would too.

OOAOML · 22/01/2018 15:26

Thinking I should - but also scared, and also thinking I can think of some people I know that might be protesting it.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 22/01/2018 16:41

Not taking dd to this but i took her to radfem12 and she liked Sheila Jeffreys' and gail dines's talks and had a lot of thoughts about femininity after, in relation to how it played out in her school.

PlectrumElectrum · 22/01/2018 16:41

Just bought my ticket - it'll be a bit tricky getting there in time but I'm definitely up for it if I can make it.

Fantasticmissfoxy · 22/01/2018 16:45

I'd love to go along but I'd be coming alone - slightly nervous of the issues in London recurring and getting caught up in it while I'm by myself....

scalliondays · 22/01/2018 16:52

Damn - was just about to gleefully buy my ticket when I've realized that it's during half term and I'm away. If anyone would like a meet up any other time I'm keen - I don't have any gender critical friends - or at least that I know of.

PlonitbatPlonit · 22/01/2018 17:49

Really exciting that this is happening.

JolieColombe · 22/01/2018 18:23

I'm so glad there'll be an Edinburgh one - just need to sort childcare then can book!

SonicBoomBoom · 22/01/2018 18:50

I'll be getting the train from Glasgow too.

SonicBoomBoom · 22/01/2018 18:52

And would share a taxi. I'm pretty sure it will be somewhere really central though.

Ranna · 22/01/2018 19:15

Also in Edinburgh but don’t want to go alone! Happy to share taxi/ meet for swift drink before hand 😂

MarSeeAh · 23/01/2018 00:12

I've bought my ticket!

I'm a short train journey from Glasgow, so maybe could meet up with others at Central or Queen's Street and we could get train to Edinburgh together. I don't know Edinburgh well at all - it has two big stations, a castle and trams - so a guide with local knowledge would be much appreciated!

PlectrumElectrum · 23/01/2018 01:22

I'd like to propose this

Vagina Anthem

By the Hungry Hearts to play on the train to Edinburgh.

It's catchy. Definitely worth a chorus of 'what the fuck is wrong with you' on the journeySmile

BetsyM00 · 23/01/2018 09:24

Fab Plectrum, thank you!

OOAOML · 23/01/2018 10:14

Ok this is going to sound really paranoid but if I book on eventbrite will it show on my FB events? I have at least one FB friend vocal on trans rights, and I can't face a pile-on. But nor do I want to stop using FB on my phone (which I also use eventbrite on). I know some events show up.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 23/01/2018 10:22

Plectrum

That is bloody brilliant! Wonder if I can make it my ringtone....
